Anyone have any useful info on a flip key for a 2020 Tacoma (without push start). I’ve searched on here and found some helpful info, but am not able to find a flip key blank, either a shell or a complete key, that will work. I ordered the following one from eBay bc it has the same H chip code and FCC ID, but it is not able to be programmed to a 2020 Tacoma.

As I mentioned, I’d be happy to try just an empty shell if there is not one known to work that is complete (shell and “guts”).

I know Meso Customs is suppose to come out with one, but it appears as though there is really no definitive timeline..or how many will be available in the first batch.

What I think @waltuo meant in a nicer way was to wait if you want the one from Meso. He does what he wants, when he wants. He'll release them when they're done. It's just expected when you are a guy designing, perfecting, and producing an extremely high quality product. There will always be more demand than supply for his products, so just actively watch his updates and be ready to buy when they're available.
    Also, Welcome to TW!

I thought I was being nice haha.
The fobs are done, packaged and ready to go. Everyone is just waiting for the release. I’ve seen @MESO already has sent some out to his vendors, or maybe they just got a sample. I suspect it’ll be very soon. Although I remember he was saying it’ll be a “spooky” release. Maybe Halloween?

Thanks. Figured there was someone out there with some info on a successful “transplant” to a flip key. But, like you all mentioned, I can always wait for MESO. Haven’t used any of this products, but from what I’ve heard they’re top notch. Won’t hurt to wait a while. :)

You won’t wait too long, like I’ve mentioned above, it’ll be soon. According to stew himself.

    Thanks for everyone’s input.

Haha I only said that cause you got defensive.

there’s another vendor that has a fob, it isn’t flip though. I’ve had that one for a while and have been drooling for the Meso flip fob.

Nah. Not defensive at all. Just stating the obvious; that you contributed nothing worthwhile to the conversation.

But meh, to each their own. I’m not sweating it. I appreciate your info though. Hopefully Meso drops his soon. I signed up for notifications so hopefully I’ll be in the first batch.

I saw the other vendors as well; I think AJT or something like that. All that does is add more bulk to an already bulky key. Hard pass on that one. Lol

Nah, waiting is the best choice. Which means it is the best contribution to this thread.

I’d suggest watching the thread for the minimalist key fob. Someone will post that it’s available, sometimes before you get the email notification.

Whatever you buy won'y be nearly the same quality as Meso's. I'm with @waltuo, just wait and hope you can get it when it drops.

I’m sure there will be plenty to go around. The ATs won’t be in on this, unless they wanna buy the flip fob out of spite haha.

You never know how many he's gonna make and there could be potential for people buy them and resell them for profit
