Right on, seems like it. I shot them a message asking why it has to be that way. The only option was fedex.

 

New shoes. Nothing fancy, just 265/75/R16 KO2s on stock wheels, but I like them a lot more than the cracked, worn street tires that were on the truck when I bought it.

Also installed the "pro" grill I got on a recent group buy here on TW. A big improvement over the stock grill IMO.

I found a roof top tent on Craigslist. Now I have penthouse accommodation.

 

Definitely utilize an impact, electric, or air wrench when installing these. I did mine a few months ago to help with the weight of camp gear/rack/tent and I spent most of the time just wrenching the bolts down to snug. Lots of extra bolt to wrench through.

Also the air lines dont seat well and will probably leak over time so make sure you use lots of thread sealer on the bungs and seat the air lines well. my driver side loses about 5lbs over a weekend and I need to re seat it but just havent got the time.

 

I did not polish the glass. I like to first clean the windows. Then I use Invisible glass cleaner and quad 0 steel wool to get all the small stuff off. Then I used Beadmaker wax/sealant. I do this every few months, in between you can basically use a clean lightly damp cloth to just wipe them clean.

 

Have you tried a magic eraser to clean glass?

What is your take on Beadmaker, the good and bad?

 

I have not tried magic eraser on glass. My go to has always been the quad 0 steel wool. I really like beadmaker, it adds great depth and shine and since it a just spray and wipe it takes like 15 minutes to do the whole truck. Imo it’s only downfall is it’s not as long lasting as some others , but the ease of application out ways that. Plus you can spray on everything, glass, plastic trim , headlights etc.

 

Does the 0000 steel wool scratch glass? I've been a little nervous trying steel wool on glass.

 

No. It could if you are really pushing into the surface. But there is no need for that. Your basically using it as a scrubby. I’ve never scratched a window.

 

Can the steel wool remove a glass coating?

 

If you mean like a ceramic coating it might. But I’ve never put any coating on glass. If you had a specific coating applied I’d consult the person who applied. I’ve always just used a quality wax or spray sealant like beadmaker.
