Well this is irritating, I mounted the scope on the 243 real quickly so Dad could see a variety of scopes before we went scope shopping today, the ring height is perfect except the magnification ring hitting the base.
I’m going to check my options at sportsman’s warehouse but I may end up just chopping the base for clearance :notsure:
The eye relief is great in that location and I don’t want to raise the scope.

I'd go with medium rings (or the next size up from what you have). Only .175" difference between medium & low.

I recently mounted a Bushnell Banner 1.5 - 4.5 on a Savage 220 and I would have had the same issue, but it sat back far enough to clear the magnification ring. The front bell cleared the rail by about 1/8".

Why are they saying the honey badger is an SBR now?

I have medium Leupold rifleman rings now, they’re .88” so 1” would be plenty tall enough.
Yeah, when I get home I need to do some looking and see what’s available. It’s nice that yours cleared by the little bit that it did.

ATF bureaucratic BS, you know how they are.

Oh trust me I heard the nonsense but I'm not quite sure why they're classifying it as a SBR

I heard mention of the way it was marketed, if they can articulate the marketing to prove that it was intended to be fired from the shoulder the intent during design makes the “brace” a “stock” which makes it an SBR.

I fixed the issue I was having with the scope clearing the rail on the .243, I moved scopes around and now I have a 2.5-10 on the 30-30 and the 3-9 on the .243.
I also cleaned both rifles and got the reloading bench somewhat setup.
    As of now I have 1700 primers, 500 556 projectiles, 600 556 cases, a couple hundred each of 9mm and .40 brass, 100 .277 projectiles, and 22 .30 cal projectiles.
I’ll be happy if I manage to keep the mosquitoes out, get more dies, and get more components.

Started doing some leatherwork. Needed a holster for my .44 bear gun and why not learn a new skill. Still need to punch and cut the belt loops and finish molding it.

don’t judge the stitching. It got better as I went. Also, this shit has really done a number on my fingers. Gonna switch to a speedy stitch for the next one
