Has anyone ever purchased from wrenchscience.com?

They supposedly have a frame in stock...too bad no one seems to have the dropper I’d need to go with the frame.

On that note, anyone have a line on 30.9 droppers in stock somewhere? Preferably Oneup V2 in the 150mm or 120mm flavor.

Troy part out?? See above 1st world part shortage problems.

edit: Disregard. Just looked up the specs. Troy is superboost, but wrong seatpost size.

Just to try new things. If I can ride a bike for a few months and sell and only lose shipping costs that's a win to me to try more bikes and styles.

Is it? Like 50-60$ for a rental for a weekend. No time waiting on product. No time spent selling and such. No losses on shipping.

Shipping loss is $110. So if I rent the bike for only 2 days then it’s taken care of. I also think there’s an extra insurance charge.

Not being rental I get to set bike up to my liking at the house and add and things while mine and remove when selling. Such as pedals and cushcores.

Plus I still get to ride it while it’s posted for sale.

If you rent on a Saturday you usually get Sunday no cost and return Monday.

But you do you then I reckon. Makes no sense to me to do that.

sounds like you dislike the Capra haha

    No complaints on the Capra,
Also even if they give Sunday free I've ridden more than 2 weekends. Plus riding weekdays.
It's money saved if you ride a lot and trying new things is a bonus.

Sure you have no complaints with the stumpjumper, but if you could try new bikes for a few months for only $100 or so dollars would you not?

No I wouldn’t lol, because I don’t need to and it’s a waste of 100$ because I don’t need another bike right now.

That's fair, I just don't mind spending the $100 every couple months to try new things.
Now if the bike depreciated like they did precovid where it would be worth half it's MSRP I'd never consider this.

Yeah but it could change by the time you get your next bike. Then you’re possibly stuck with something you don’t like. The cheapest bike is the one you already own.

This is true, honestly I'm debating on buying expensive right now and just sticking with something cheap. Like the Norco I listed.
I'm wondering and hoping around December-January the market may get flooded with used. Pure speculation of course.

As of now my thoughts are between a Meta AM/TR and Stumpjumper.

I love my stumpy, but also only bought it because it’s what my local shop had that met my budget and would satisfy a “1 bike for everything”.
