    The TVS1900 map appears more well versed than the MP90 with a wider area to grow for sure. There is a lot more room to play and it appears your maximum is somewhere around 16000 RPM if under the correct pressure ratio while the MP90 was somewhere around 13000 RPM if I remember correctly. Plot your points correctly based on where you land in the spectrum after your pulley changes and enjoy yourselves guys. Educating yourselves about what your compressor is capable of and knowing what is too much for it means all the difference between blind boost and efficient grin inducing boost.

    Definitely address your restrictive exhausts and possibly even your intakes, though it appears Toyota learned their lesson on the intake side of things as far as not maxing out the mass airflow, that being said however, you guys may eventually hit a ceiling as well with the MAF tube diameter if you mod up higher than the diameter is capable of allowing the MAF to read.

    As a 2nd gen boost guy we as a group have learned many valuable lessons modding up on our trucks for power that we carry with us today. So many of the shortcomings we identified and addressed we can pass on to you guys as you mod up as well.

    I'd still like to see one spearhead guy create a very exclusive sort of tips tricks and mods thread in the performance section of the 3rd gen subsection of the forum just like we did. It will help the future and current 3rd gen boost owners immensely during and throughout the ownership of their rigs. It will also help the aftermarket market know that they SHOULD support this platform, as it will put a spotlight of the enthusiasm of the owners who own the platform. Without it, the market will be less "fruituitious" (if that's even a word) making it much more difficult to mod in the future. It's as simple as brushing up on all the part numbers for OE parts and then working your way out from there. Anywho, I think that's enough for one post.

    :p :thumbsup:

    Hopefully they do it faster than it took them to certify the 1st and 2nd gen SC kits, but that might have been because TRD had a deal with them back then that only they could sell CARB kits, not sure. Was always funny that the TRD ones were CARB certified but the identical Magnuson branded ones weren't, until TRD stopped selling them anyway. Just proof that CARB is nothing but a money grab for the state lol.

    Yeah, hoping so as well. I'm not in a huge rush since i haven't been driving much lately. I've considered alternatives but for the sake of convenience i just a CARB cert goddamnit lol. Who knows if they will even be able to get it now with a certain someone with a more stringent emissions policy in office :anonymous:

    yes carb is nothing but a money maker. everything that get CARB approved gets an EO or exemption bc it doesn't meet the requirements. so pay a fee and roll on. its make cali tons of money and thats the only reason it has power

    @Deo taco

    please do all of the above (smaller pulley - which is now available, fuel system - which OVT seems to have, and a tune to match - with vFtune ) Looking for a test subject? DM me. I'll add the pulley and fuel system to my kit - you do the tune (AT on vFtuner software with 4.88's) and all the fruit to come is yours.

    Ordered 12-16-2020 delivery 1-07-2021. Sounds like someone dropped the ball or you are being delayed by CARB requirement as a condition of delivery. Hope this all works out to your satisfaction, and soon.

    If you are in California and there isn’t CARB, they can’t legally ship it to you unless they want significant fines.
