I've got 4 bottles of redline sitting in the garage waiting to go into the Taco and my Jeep. By my calculations I should end up about 0.2 quarts short. W/in 5mm of fill hole though on both and I should be fine. I need to quit being so lazy about it.

I did some searching, and feeling like maybe I can attempt to do this but any chance someone has a link to a thread discussing changing to MT-90 for MT transmission oil? I assume some sort of flush and bleed sort of thing but not even sure how much to buy...

EDIT: So, like 1 gallon of this?

You should be good to go. That bit won't matter.

It is! Made slick shifters out of our other notchy shifters.

    This is a great thread:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-manual-transmission-6mt-fluid-change.481719/

No flush needed as the fluid is compatible. I've done that flush dance in the past with incompatible stuff that didn't even help.

Just did the ADM and when I put the clutch in it makes a noise now? Not the rattle not the squeak sounds like it actually might be the clutch. On one of the forms someone else mentioned it. Anyone got any input? I’ll try to upload a video.

The 2nd Gen guy that lead me to this mod said that he did it to get a bit of extra throw for the Stage 2 or Stage 3 clutch that he installed. I'm not sure how we could get extra throw out of it, but maybe that has something to do with it?

Myself, I have developed an external squeak toward the end of summer. The info that I found just said that Toyota pickup clutches can be loud. I ran through some puddles a couple weeks ago. It either lubed it up or freed whatever was causing it?

    Looking forward to your vid.

Also, any air in the lines can make a sound, but it wouldn't be a squeak.

That sounds like something is continuing to move after you reach the bottom of the stroke? Like a kickstarter?

Otherwise, I would say air? Has you engage point moved after the ADM?

Engagement point has not changed or If it did I can’t notice. Bare with me because I’m not mechanically inclined. I’m guessing it is air left in the lines from what I’ve read, but will this grenade my clutch or cause any other issues? But I’m guessing either way have the shop get the air out.

interesting sound. when the clutch goes to the floor, the TOB presses against the pressure plate. the TOB spins, but that doesn't sound like a failing bearing. Maybe? Or maybe i'm still too emotionally scarred from taking my clutch apart twice.

btw for those keeping track, my pressure plate has been silent recently... I've given up and just assume this truck is loud a f and makes noises i don't understand lol

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Who did the work? You or the shop?

If you, could you describe the point where you 1. Clamped the fluid line and 2. Your bleed process

If shop did the work, that should have never been released

Bearing was replaced within the year. Could be but also could be the “Toyota’s are just loud”

Just for clarity, the TOB starts to spin pretty much as you start to move the pedal.

Nice! That is great to hear. So, just some break in stress?

Shop did it, should I have them take another look and make sure everything was bled correctly? It’s a hit or miss shop ive has them rebuild a Shelby for me and it’s flawless but I’ve also had them put a bumper on and they couldn’t get it to align.

Mine makes a squeak (more like a metal noise, but it's the clutch squeak we all know a love) but nothing like what you've got
