    Hello all!

So i'm going in for my fuel pump recall next week and I was wondering if I should swap my S&B Cold air intake back to stock. Worried the dealership will complain about it. Thoughts?

I doubt they will say anything. My Tacoma is modified quite a bit and they have told me they like seeing them done different. I think they are used to seeing Tacoma's with mods.
On the other hand they complained when I used non Toyota parts on my 04 Corolla a few years back.

Dealers typically will notate any changes to your vehicle for liability reasons.
    If you’re worried, swap it.

I would just swap it .. don’t give them any reason to deny the warranty repair . Doesn’t take long to put the box back in .

See I was thinking this as well, but it's a factory recall. Not sure if they can legally deny that.

Recalls are performed on a “no questions asked basis” because the manufacturer is at fault. A TSB would be a different story so your good as is.

Brought my truck in for its complimentary oil change. The story was about double on the multi point line noting my front bumper, winch, BD Ditch lights, BD Fog lights, king suspension, total chaos upper arms, rear bumper, sliders, wheels and tires(they denied rotating my tires because they were not original), interior lighting, and all my misc. switches. They even noted my tints.

But as for the recall, their work seems to be under the bed, the intake is under the hood. Will they note it, based on my experience, yes. Will they deny you the recall? No. Unless your intake is tied into your fuel pump somehow.

Good point, but they'd disconnect the battery I think so it is possible they spot the intake

    It's not a warranty issue

If you were going in for a recall related to the intake, you'd have a problem.

    You're not, so you won't.

Unless your particular dealer of choice is located in Jerk City and likes to blame everything on anything.

But keeping your OE bit is a good idea. Because when you sell it, (or especially trade it, if that's your thing) more folks will like seeing that then seeing the aftermarket stuff.

I just called my Toyota service folks about warrantee being voided for a CAI system. He said no unless you're bringing it in for a fuel/idle/performance problem. Like previous folks said, you're good.
