Help me out, I have straight pipe and I just installed new headers & new catalytic converter which is connected to the headers since old one was disintegrating. Now that I turn it on or drive it around. Let me tell you it's loud as a MF would consider similar to a honda straight pipe " rice as f" help what muffler would you recommend or what else can I do!!!!

    Not what I said.

    I said

'Cat back' is the part of the system from the cat thru the tailpipe, which includes the muffler.

I know that's not what you said, but I quoted your headline. I taught it was funny.

did you install them while the engine was in the truck? Curious on the difficulty as I have a set of Doug thorley headers sitting in my closet...

Yes motor was in the truck, not to difficult honestly; I mean for me since I have the 2.4 wasn't but if you have a 6xer wouldn't be able to tell you. For sure you definitely you going to need at least 2 to 3 inches xtra of pipe if you doing shorties.

Just a header shouldn't make it significantly louder. Check for exhaust leaks at the head and every connection
