I grew up the same way. Lived in a trailer park until I was 8 or 9, ate leftovers for days and never wasted anything. I never forget where I come from.

Some folks were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, and have never faced any kind of adversity in life. It’s all about me, me, me.

We try. My parents came to this country as immigrants from a war-torn country, got naturalized as American citizens and gave back to the community we live in. I gave back by joining the Army and have lots of patriotism and pride for country.

I know too many people like this. I've been working ever since I was in 6th grade. Mom made me get my first job then, not because we were poor but because she wasn't gonna have a kid that didn't work for his money lol. Probably the main reason I am were i am today. Wouldn't ever imagined that I would have the life i have today. About to buy my first house with my own money by myself at 26 seems pretty good to me.

Spent every penny i had saved up working on jobs with a little help from my mom on my college tuition plus my scholarship to have no student loans when i got out, so I could focus on making money and not paying it back. God blessed me with the work I do now and I worked my ass off to get here. It really pisses me off when I see these spoiled kids that sit around all day and complain about things and let their parents buy them everything. I've always been proud of paying for my own stuff and working hard to do the things i want to do.

Life would be too boring if someone just gave me everything with no work towards it!

I refuse to let my kids grow up this way. They clean their rooms, their bathroom, take out the trash, mow grass, etc. I pay them an allowance for keeping their chores up.
