So I want to get a 3 inch lift however I have 30’s at the moment. Is anyone doing this? Will it look awkward? Am I better off waiting until I need new tires and getting 33’s before I put a lift?

You will look awkward worrying about it.

On a serious note, I drive around on both my stock tires and my 33s with a 2” lift and it looks just fine on both in my opinion. There’s only about a 7% difference. I’m pretty sure no one sees the difference.

Do what you got to do. I think we have all had to build our trucks as we go based on our own budgets.cant just do it all at once. Just as long its temporary or yes it will look weird.

Why do people tend to round down to 30” when referring to their 30.6” stock tires, but round up to 33” when referring to their 32.8” tires? It makes it seem like there is a 3” difference between the stock tire and the typical 255/85R16 or 285/75r16 tire.

You'd have a lot of positive camber

Thats what I've seen when people install 3" lift on stock trd sport wheels/tires

Looked fine on my first gen. I say lift it if you want and wait till the tires wear down, then get new wheels and tires

Unfortunately I can’t find a pic of my truck with the 2” lift and the stock tires, but here’s a pic of the tires next to each other prior to the lift

Lot of guys run lifts and stock tires for awhile. You’re fine.

There’s an entire thread full of pics of lifted trucks on 265s, none look like shit.

Here's exactly what it will look like. Take that for what you will but I don't think it looks that ridiculous. This is the day I installed the lift, about a week before wheels/tires. Just get it aligned if you're gonna roll around like this for a while.

Edit: 5100s/888 and Icon 3 leaf AAL FWIW.

That's how I did it, until I could buy tires later.

It won't look that weird, it just won't look as good. Don't worry about it, nobody is gonna remember your truck 5 seconds after seeing it.

I may go back to the original tire size, after adding armor, thinking about it. I was hell bent on upgrading the lift but something to think over now.

It’ll look fine. A lot of people do things in phases.

How'd you achieve, 5100's and small block in rear? I like it.
