My restored '81 CX500C. Got it in 2011 as a wrecked non-runner. Repair and restored it, then rode it until 2014. Put it in storage due to job taking me out of country. Now, just waiting to pull out of storage and get it back road worthy.

1970ish CT70h I restored 25 years ago, still ride it occasionally.

1971 CB500, unrestored bike I got from my 87 year old neighbor. He was the original owner.

Finally able to post here. Restoring my original 84 ATC70. I hadn’t heard this thing run since I was 10 years old. Got it running and Mechanically sound and now I’m working on the cosmetics.

My Dad started his 'Retirement projects' about 15 years ago,

He fixed the first bike up, bought a basket case second and put it back together, and then collected two other CT's and one C90 over the years..

So currently he has four Ct90 and one C50 in different states of repair/togetherness.

    Dad_2.jpg

    DadsC90.jpg

    vw_place.jpg

He's lost momentum on these in the last few years, plus having Parkinson's means soldering and small detail work is an exercise in frustration.. He's looking to get rid of them..

For the last 15 years I've chatted and discussed these little bikes, looked for parts online, bought gifts related to them, and watched all of Ed March's videos together with Dad.

I've got two kids, 9 and 7, and enough garage space for them - I'm planning to hopefully adopt these bikes and get them cleaned up and back together.

Check out this site. The website looks really dated but the company is awesome to deal with and they have a lot of the small parts you’d need to finish the CTs. Most of their stock is OEM Honda- NOS or new. I mainly used them to revive my ATC.

    Still thinking about it.
Not SO vintage, but I’m riding a ‘95 XR250L that my son totally reworked last winter into something better than an R of the same vintage. CR250 forks was the main upgrade, lots of new plastic and controls. Stock engine with new carb and XRs Only stainless exhaust. It’s really fun and easy to ride.

I'm sure your dad would like nothing more than to see you pass his passion onto your kids. Make your dad proud!

Been working on the cb500. Got an OEM seat and right side cover, it looks more original now. Honda really got it right with the styling on these right from the first year.

This was my second bike in 1978, a '75 400 four. Damn that was a fun bike. Sold it to a friend a year later after a number of speeding tickets and a couple warning letters from the DMV. The fever still burns. :)

Finally got around to cleaning out the old hot rod shop. Hanging in the rafters was my first motorcycle. 1973 Honda QA50 K1 in Hawaiian Blue Metallic purchased new. Oh the memories...learned a lot about life on this thing.
