Sorry to hear that, I live right at 67th and Happy Valley. I grew up in Maryvale and moved to this area to get away from stuff like that.

Do they even make that stuff larger than what holds a coffee maker together??

I was thinking that tack welding the bolt heads and nuts on the bumper and also the suspension hardware might help.

As far as the OP, they straight up cut the roof rack so that wouldn’t have helped him.

So now I have to walk around the mall with my radio faceplate (upgraded from the pullout auto reverse tape deck), spinners from my wheels, AND my light bars and suspension?!!? Things are getting so complicated.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Not sure if this makes you feel better. But I caught a thief trying to steal shit off my truck one day.
The interesting thing is that I was the one called out by the police for excessive force. I said that if I didn’t hit him so hard he may have had it in him run, so I made it so he couldn’t see.
I fee ya man, I live in the heart of ATL, and Shit gets real here.
Let me see if I can find a pic of the criminal in question after the event took place ;)

Problem is its usually ones from Maryvale and those areas driving up to the nice neigborhood areas at night and making runs looking for low hanging fruit. Only way to avoid is park in the garage. This stuff happens all the time in the nice areas of North Phoenix

Here is a sobering thought and reality.

I don't believe they used bolt cutters on the brackets. The cut looks it was sawed off.

A thief can wonder into WallyMart or Hardfreight to pick up a variety of battery powered tools. The selection is extensive. Grinders, sawsalls, drills, impact drivers.......etc. generally for less $$ than a C note.

One battery charge could net enough booty in one night to pay for legit purchase of the tool. Many are also available in pawn shops or as refurbish tools with reduced pricing.

The more doodads you have hanging on your ride, the more attractive it is to target.

Couple this with the relaxing/elimination of theft laws and you have a perfect situation for theft. Just wait until insurance rates begin to climb due to this nonsense.

Just recently there was a 20 year old F150 w/manual tranny stolen about 2 blocks from me. I live in small town IA, population <3500. Then a few nights later, another neighbor had his car jacked up and the cats sawed off. The car was in his drive. The Police made a report and told the victims to file insurance because they would not investigate further. Talk about a steaming pile of cow droppings.................

I haven't put ditch lights on yet because of this reason. I live in San Francisco (for now) and I can guarantee they would be stolen within one night on the street.

I'm still suspect that it happened at my house, been here 2 years and my truck has had all that on it since not a single problem, my truck WAS parked at my moms in chandler over the weekend, I didn't notice the light gone until Wednesday but picked my truck up Monday evening, went to work Tuesday and I swear I woulda noticed if it was gone but I'm trying to check cameras to see if the light was there Tuesday or gone already. Would like to narrow down if my house is the hot spot or my moms way out in chandler, at least give me some ease sleeping at night.

Exactly same thing happened to me. I parked my car and it had the yellow low gas light. It got stolen at night and was found not too far away. The thieves probably werent too happy.
