How much lift is this mythical new spring for the 2020 Pro supposed to give?

I been hearing about this spring for what seems forever.

i dont notice much differance,, i raised the front up about 2 in. with the fox 2.5's, with a 1 inch block in the rear, truck sits level. had about a 1 inch rake after 3 yrs.with oem fox's. had a 1/2 in. factory rake when new, pro's are not level when new.. i know ive owned a 2015 and now my 2017, love this truck, almost 4yrs. never keep anything over 2 yrs. but could not give up my cement pro.cus toyota hasnt made anything that looks better. OEM uca's. no problems at all.. never had a problem with anything.. i do miss the red springs.. lol..

Good to hear. Ive always considered just replacing the front with an adjustable fox and leave the o.e. on the rear. 36k with no significant extra front end weight and its sagging a bit. Would rather just replace the springs but the waiting game is getting a bit old. Wescott lift seems like an option for the money but I'd rather do it right with eibach springs or new coilovers. Thanks for the info.

From all of my research, I suspect this spring replacement will be the best option for Pro owners want to keep the Fox Shox.

I'm suspicious that a replacement leaf pack will be the best option for the back.

Re-springing the truck front and back should improve suspension performance instead of just putting it further off the ground. With motorcycle racing, we tend to run the stiffest spring with the least amount of preload to get the most out of any suspension setup. This is, effectively, doing the same thing.

I was close to getting the Westcott Pro lift too, but would much rather wait for this spring upgrade if we can get confirmation that 2017-2019 will be made too. Seems like there’s quite a bit of interest in this forum alone! I’ve got close to a 2” rake after my bumper/winch install limiting me to these 265 tires. Please:help: Eibach!

I still don't quite understand why the guys at Eibach need test vehicles. They made the springs for the O.E. Fox Tacoma Suspension. I'm puzzled that they couldn't open that file than use their Suspension skills and knowledge of building springs to produce a spring for the strut without needing any measurements from test vehicles. Anyways, hope the springs become available. Sure wish we could get a teeny bit of info about what they are building.

Going out on a limb here as I'm not a vehicle suspension guy, my suspension experience is from racing motorcycles, but I suspect they want to make sure they work with the weight of the vehicle and keep the internal bypass shock within the acceptable travel range.

So, with motorcycles, the spring rate/preload is the most important part of the suspension equation. You get that right and everything else falls into place a lot easier.

You basically want the stiffest spring possible that allows you to use virtually zero preload while still achieving proper static sag (how much the spring sags under the weight of the vehicle). Preloading a spring increases the energy required to initiate suspension movement. Having too much/too little sag and your shock isn't in the most effective range of its travel. This is especially important with the internal bypass Fox's. This is also the flaw with the Westcott(?) system (imho).

My suspicion is the Toyota springs are too soft (front and rear) for a softer/plush ride, compromising suspension performance, but also resulting in a little too much sag. A slightly stiffer spring rate, I suspect, is the ideal solution. Heavier tires would also work the softer spring harder with more mass/energy causing the springs to begin moving too soon/too rapidly. (from my understanding)

:thumbsup:So you're not any closer to testing for the older Trd Pro shocks than when Ryan asked for test vehicles in Dec of last year? Lol. Disappointing sheesh.

It’s hard to appreciate how much Covid has royally slowed everything down. It’s a whole new world and a new way of doing business. I’m sure Eibach has had their challenges. Hopefully mark@eibach can throw us an update shortly.
