Went to pick up some fly-fishing tippet material and the vortex sucked me over to the ammo section at Cabela's. $.43/round for 45 and $.48/round for 9mm.

1# is 7,000 grains, average charge of 28 grains (estimated) equals 13.4 cents per powder charge, roughly 250 charges per pound of powder.

    13.4 cents for powder
    3 cents for primer
    12.5 cents for bullet
=29 cents for a loaded round of .243 (assuming free (already owned) brass and no cost of tools/equipment)

You might not find small rifle primers for a few months. Where are you located at?

South Ms, about an hour from both Mobile Al, and New Orleans La.
I’ve got the word out on the local gun forum that I’m looking for some and the local reloading supply guy is going to text me when he gets some but he doesn’t expect any anytime soon.
I have about 40 factory 6.8 cartridges so I may pull those and use the casing/primer, or I may just use the 10 rounds of FMJ that I have to get the scope close and then 3 of the 12 120grain SST loads to confirm zero, and then use the other 9 to hunt with.

Since I just came across about 4000 small rifle primers I’d be willing to let some go for the price that I got them for. I could probably mail you 500 of them for $10 and another $5 to ship I would guess so 15 bucks total. Just PM me if you’re interested.

Speaking of reloading. I used up my charge master last week I guess and broke my Hornady scale earlier this year so I decided to try this guy out since i got it for super cheap.

Figured if it breaks then I won’t lose much and I’ll just get another rcbs.

Had to do some work on my daughter’s car today. Made her drive me to Academy Sports, found some 9mm Federal 115gr. 3 count limit per person. Not bad at $.30/round. Managed to grab 300 rounds.

Once you receive it and calibrate it. If possible...Please post a follow up on impressions of accuracy and reliability.

Traded an AR for an M92 and was hoping to get it a day early. Well that didn't happen because USPS shipped it to another post office one town over. It's alright though because it got me stir crazy enough to buy a TDI lower, utlimak upper, CNC Warrior folding brace and 26x1 to 5/8-24 thread adapter and a girffin 5/8-24 direct thread. Let's just say I'll be a happy camper when it all gets here. I pick up the M92 tomorrow!
