Eibach pro lift kit

That 1/4" spacer is for the driver side lean is to compensate for the gas tank. You just add it to the top of the driver side strut. I did the install myself and never worked on suspensions before. I went with the Eibach kit myself. I am still waiting on the AAL to get to me so i can finish the rear. I'll post pics once I'm done.

 

Are those 265s?

Yes on that spacer but get in in aluminum, not polyurethane. AAL that I went with is wheeler but I have not received it yet. Maybe others that have them installed can give you opinions on what they installed. I just went with the single AAL that should give me 1.5" to 2". I might leave the overload leaf in. Not sure about that yet. I'm just doing it for aesthetics since i don't haul much. It depends on if you toe or have a load on the bed like a tent and stuff.

 

Leave overload in IMO

 

Recommend leaving in the Overload. Installed the same Eibach kit with Wulf AALs and left in the Overload. Netted +2" in the rear and rides better than stock setup.

 

I went with the Headstrong 3 leaf AAL, advertised as 1.5" but you're supposed to remove the overload leaf. Kinda happy with the results, though I wish the truck had a bit of rake (for if I haul anything in bed) to it, might swap to a different AAL or leaf pack in future. Truck sits perfectly level now.

 

You can re install your overload if you want.

 

Yeah, I gotta look at that. I thought this was discussed before and HS mentioned that the AAL wasn't really designed to work with the overload as the overload was actually longer than the shortest leaf on the AAL. Or something like that, or maybe I'm mis-remembering things and now I'm just talking out of my ass.

 

@THE_KiRRAx, you are right about the overload being too long. I had mine cut down to where it wouldn't interfere with the AAL and reinstalled them. They work just fine. You may need longer U bolts if they where barely long enough to begin with.

 

Thanks for clarifying that for me mate, I'll look into this. I THINK I should be fine with the u-bolts HS sent me, I have a couple inches of threads left and I was lazy so I haven't cut them down yet. Laziness might pay off it seems, haha.

 

DO any of you here have a 2WD TRD double cab that has or are planning to do the Eibach lift? Regardless can anyone of you that has not lifted the truck give me the measurements from the center hub to the bottom of the fender?

hub to fender LF = 20 5/8 RF = 20 7/8 (pre lift)
shouldn't matter for the measurement but running OEM Wheels and 265-75-16 GY Duratracs

my ground to fender is 35 1/4 and 35 1/2 but shouldn't go off those #'s as a gauge.

Thanks. I've been back and forth with Eibach on this and even went to a dealership and found a truck with the same wheels and tires and 20 ish is what I'm getting too. I got 24 from hub to fender after the lift but it has dropped almost an inch driving it around. I'm hoping that after the weekend it settles down some more. I also filled up the tank so that weight might have something to do with it dropping almost an inch. 4 inches out of this lift should not be normal. The tires I have are the 265/65/17

I have stock UCA’s with no running, what would cause the rubbing is the offset of your wheel choice. My offset is 0, i have no rubbing, stock tacoma OR wheels have a positive offset and will rub

 

Nice. Yeah have 0 offset on my RPT1s. Still have decent thread on my tires so probably just wait it out. Thanks.
