Eibach PRO TRUCK Coilover 2.0 Stage 2

Just got my 2.0s installed! Question for the OP. Did your coils settle down any bit? I have a 1.5 inch rear block and I think my front end is still slightly higher. Any update on that? We did not mess with the coilovers since I believe they were set at 2inch.

 

What’s the max amount of lift you can get out of these?

 

And the minimum?

 

While i wait for OPs response about the springs settling let me give my 20 mile review . Great! Reminder, I never drove my TRD Sport stock. I bought it used and it had front spacers/rear block. Ride wasn't horrible, but I didn't feel comfortable knowing that is a bad way to lift a taco. when old struts were off, I did see that the spring was rubbing against the control arm scraping the black paint off. so that wasn't good! good thing I replaced them.
So, 20 mile review! Definitely stiffer, but a good stiff. Body roll is definitely less. Highway driving feel more planted for sure. I ran a little dirt trail before work this morning, and 100% better.
Again, i never drove stock. so i cannot compare it to that.
i am hoping that the front settles a bit though. i dont want to mess with adjusting it.

 

Sorry guys, haven't checked TW much lately. I haven't measured my set up since getting installed but every susp set up settles a bit, even coilovers... how much is the variable. Good thing about the coils is you can always just adjust to match the height of the rears.

I believe max lift is 2.5" but @heel_touge would be able to answer that better.

 

I did a quick measurement from the floor to fender, im getting about 3/8 inch higher in the front. not sure why, when my rear has a 1.5 inch block. I didnt want to mess with the adjustment if the 2 inch is sent from factory, im assuming thats the best spot for it. lowering it a full inch is something id like to avoid.

 

Now that a few of you have had these on for a little while, how are you liking these coilovers? How would you say the ride is?

I am looking at this kit, as well as the Bilstein 6112/5160s and the Elka 2.0s. Hard to find much feedback on the Elka 2.0s and this Eibach 2.0 kit.

I've put a couple thousand on both local & highway miles and while I can only compare my current set up to my previous Eibach PRO LIFT, I can say the coils ride that much better. The revalving of these shocks makes it more compliant on & off road. While the coils are stiffer than OEM, the rebound is stiff and confident where it needs to be, but not bouncy. For the price of these coils, you can't go wrong IMO.

Sorry, I always find it difficult to describe in words how any susp setup actually feels.

 

I appreciate it! I understand it can definitely be hard to put into words how a suspension set up feels. Good to hear your are liking it after some miles. Just don’t want to hear its uncomfortable and rides like crap! I feel the stock off-road suspension is too soft for my taste and becomes unsettled when hitting bumps at speed. Hoping to reduce some body roll, get rid of the nose dive, and something that handles hits a little better. But also want it to still ride well and not upset the wife!

 

This kit eliminates exactly what you just mentioned. It helped reduce the body roll and “floatyness” of my stock OR susp as well as helped eliminate the nose dive on harder braking

I’m sure the wife will also appreciate the fact that you didn’t break the bank buying this set up too

 

Yeah can you set these to stock height? Want the improved performance don't want a lift.

 

Eibach specifies 0 - 2.5" lift, so you should be able to lower the nut on which the spring sits for the truck to be at stock height.

My kit is arriving tomorrow, along with my new tires... can't wait

Same, I have seen a few places with Stage 1, but not many for Stage 2

 

You can order direct from Eibach. I got mine from the Tire Rack (although their price was higher) along with my wheels, tires, and rear shocks.

 

How did the adjustment go? Were you able to get the settings where you wanted them? What ultimately worked best to do that?

I have my kit and I'm planning on installing in the next couple of days.

Am I missing something or is there no set screw? Seems like it could jump the threads if hit hard enough.
