Pool people, any idea why my spa blower keeps cutting off on its own? My only thought is that the thermal switch is protecting an overheat condition but I don’t know why it would be overheating. It’s a brand new 1hp blower mounted 3 feet above the water line with 4 outflow holes in the spa.

    Yeah.
I don't have a spa, so no air bubble blower. From the interwebs:

I talked with the Silencer (airsupplyflorida.com) folks and they were very helpful. It was easy to get a hold of a technical rep. He even gave me his cell phone.

carolina pool - you were right

The airsupply guy said my pump is pushing water into the air line which is causing too much back pressure and thus the blower overheating.
He said I need to get more water flowing through the jets. The jets are all 20yr old so their condition is pretty bad. I had to smash an old jet with a hammer and pry it out. Fun.
I found replacements (Hayward Jet Air III). I replaced one jet but that didn't help so I am in the process of getting more and hopefully some hi flow jets might help.

The airsupply guy also said my blower was way over sized. I have a 2hp and he recommended a 1hp for my 5 spa jets. The 2hp was what the builder installed. I guess they went overkill.
I just bought the blower to replace the fried old one. I have 30days to return it - so I'm good.

Started a mock up on my new off-road trailer yesterday with the welding shop based on this design. 360 degree articulating hitch on each axis, 31's on 15" rims, blacked out with black diamond plate all around, 1 piece roof with fantastic fan, timbren axles with 4"lift. He's gonna weld it up and skin it and I'll finish out the interior, wire it up for 12v and 110 and build out a galley. Hope it will be ready by Christmas. Thanks Santa.

That'll be dope. I always think about wanting a trailer every time I move the tent on or off.

I couldn’t remember if you added a spa to your pool or not. Hmm...I removed the 1.5hp and installed the 1hp thinking my problem was that it was too much power for the number of jets. The lower power definitely helped the pump run for longer, but it still cut off after about 15 minutes. Pretty sure the jets are relatively new as well, but maybe I need a different design. I’m going to put a call in to Silencer and see what they say.
    That will be neat!

I like it well enough. One of my hoops was welded a little crooked, wasn't evident until it was mounted on the truck. It doesn't affect the function and isn't noticeable unless you're looking for it. They gave me a pretty decent credit that I used for their front skid which arrived perfect. I blame the snafu on it being ordered during last year's Black Friday sale.

Yeah they seem to be pretty good guys to work with and that kind of thing. they sent me a sport diff skid but I have a manual so I actually needed the off-road diff skid. Wasn't differentiated on their site so when I called them they were pretty cool about getting them swapped out

Honestly if I didn't have the TRD Faux grill I probably wouldn't have noticed.

Got off the phone with the local pool store and I’ve been tasked with checking amp draw on the spa blower and measuring the diameter of the eyelets in the spa. The fella thinks that my eyelets might be too small and creating too much resistance on the blower which causes it to overheat. If I just need other eyelets, that should be an easy fix!

Saw this too late but for future ref, Wedington WMA is good. Enter from the 412 at Pedro, AR.

Along the same lines of "there's no replacement for displacement," at higher RF bands such as UHF and cellular (700Mhz+), there's no replacement for height + less obscured line-of-sight propagation. Vehicles themselves act as a partial Faraday cage obstructing RF, so installing an antenna outside the vehicle with a good repeater system and shielded connector cable will always improve signal quality, especially for all-or-nothing digital signals.
