@mattgecko the led strips for the diamondback work wonders. Made sure I put it on the angled portion, so when it's open, gives some nice overhead light.
@DSRamsey13 ignore my mess. Let me know if you have any questions.

I was interested in purchasing LED Under Hood Light Kit (Tacoma 2005-2021) in warm white leds. On your website it says it’s sold out. Do you know when you might be getting more in? I want to get this for my dad for Christmas. Please let me know. Thank you for your time.

Anyone come up with something clever (aside from zip ties) to keep the LED strip nicely connected to the softopper rails?

Right now during the cooler months I don’t think there’s an issue with the adhesive but once it starts getting hot again I’ll bet that the metal bars reach a higher temp than the fail point of the adhesive.

Super happy overall with how the under rail/ softopper kit has made my bed more useable.

Iv'e used clear Goralla tape to apply the lights to a PVC pipe, it worked great. Tape is still holding strong after a few years.

haha, sorry,....the pic of them installed under the pinch weld made me think of tying them in to the dome light so they illuminate when the door is opened, etc. I was wondering if anyone did that. Apparently I only had to go back 2 pages to find my answer.

Gotcha. Yeah, I installed them on the body panel directly so the lights face down, not on the pinch weld directly. There are plug and play kits around for tapping into the dome circuit, so have a look around for those so you don't have to go splicing into wiring.
