Went off on some trails along the beach. Nothing hard at all, just really fast and really fun screaming up and down the beach.

Went to see Rainbow Basin Natural Area near Barstow CA. Easy 5 miles, no air down needed. Cool rock formations and colors.

    Does this count?
I did mange to get mud in a tire, killed a bunch of baby grass, and crushed the plastic edging that was supposed to protect said baby grass.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
I have not posted anything in a while so this is a mix of 5 trips made over the last few weeks. I found 2 new lakes to fish, fished 1 older lake, and a few days spent just exploring looking for access into remote lakes. Snow is hitting up on the mountains here now so soon the high elevation roads will be off limits once we get 2 or more feet of snow, which should be in the next 2 weeks or so. Christened the new skid plate I put on recently. The stock skid plates were punched in bad so I went with the heavier TRD plate. Drove about 20 of these steep 4 foot washouts up a mountainside. Had a smoother stretch of road, and I turned my head for a second to admire the view and dropped into a 4 foot washout at 30mph. Just exploded into the hole. I gritted my teeth so hard I thought I cracked some teeth along with some ball joints, or worse. Surprisingly this time all was well other than some deep grooves in the skidplate. Lucky I did not break down at that spot as it would have been a 20 mile hike back to cellphone access. I put the truck up on my ramps as soon as I got home and did a full inspection and checked everything with my pry bar and everything is tight and the wheel straight. The stock 2016 TRD Off Road trucks is pretty well built. Mine has been on 80 or so very rough off-road trips in the last 2 years, and no issues. It is getting pretty beat though, a lot of deep scratches and dents. No biggy, zero interest in maintaining a show truck.

Pics taken up north of pennask lake area, bear creek up westside, some mountains northwest of merritt, and other spots. I keep some spots pretty secret, I don't like to go anywhere it is busy, so I am pretty far off road. A hundred miles or more of off road driving in a day is normal. If I see one other fisherman on a weekend, too busy for me so I head further out to lakes normally only accessible by ATV. Been at this 35 years with 4 different 4x4's, so I have a number of spots I go, all as remote as I can get to. That includes also all of BC's fishing highway (hwy 24), also north of there into Williams Lake and further, plus all remote areas around Kamloops. I usually only see another person or truck offroad on maybe 1 out of every 10 trips. Love the solitude.

Did some wheeling on some trails I haven't seen in over 7 years. Was nice to meet up with some old friends.
