I’m pretty sure the cost to ship them is more than what these are worth, but I do have someone willing to come get them this weekend. Will update then.

    More to come!!
Off topic but does anyone know how to fix the clear peeling off of these lights? Same thing is happening to mine, & I’m wondering if a light sanding and polish would remove the clear and bring the “shine” back (basic headlight restoration)

Yup, sand and then polish or just polish if they aren't too bad. Some lights have a "clear coat" that will actually flake off when deteriorated enough so it may warrant sanding that finish down to the plastic. Other lights don't seem to be coated and the plastic itself hazes over. I've had to refinish or at least polish the headlights on all 4 of the vehicles we own. Regular, light polishing and waxing are now parts of my typical car maintenance.

OEM's are complete garbage these days in terms of making headlights that don't haze so quickly. It's a shame really.

    damn...

I just ordered these (new DEPO)
Coming from the Audi world, I remember people always liked them. Just not the projector. So they'd swap their OEM one into the housing (bolts in)
So I was hoping it's just as good for the Tacoma and can swap the bulbs over
More affordable way to get black housing without OEM high prices or the PITA job of a BHLM

but now I learn apparently the lens deteriorates
I kinda want to ask OP how long it took his to do that

Honestly I think it's fixable. A headlight coating could prevent it, and Meguiar's, 3M, etc. on Amazon coating looks cheaper than the $60 Opti-Lens "permanent coating" that I hear doesn't even actually work.

IDK if it's worth heating up and swapping over an OEM lens because really, any lens can fade...
Once I used a polishing kit. It lasted maybe a year. Probably because polish just cleans it with abrasion, then polishes it to be smooth/see-thru

another method I did on a VW seemed to last longer; sanding to about 600 grit and then spraying automotive UV-resistant clear coat.
The idea is clearcoat will fill in the tiny scratches from 600 grit, to also make it smooth/clear just like polishing,
except now that porous surface will hold/adhere a film of auto clear coat
    which is UV resistant paint
designed to be strong considering cars are painted with it and expected to sit in sunlight for over 10 years...

This is the best technique. Remove any old coating, make sure the lens is uniformly sanded and free of defects, spray with automotive clear coat then maintain the lights just as you would any other panel of the car (regular cleaning, regular clay bar, regular waxing and an occasional buff/polish as needed).
