I picked up a 2009 Taco with a 2 yr old replacement frame with almost no rust except for a few brackets and the bumper, bumper reinforcement and hitch. Replacing the bumper reinforcement (arrives today) and the hitch (junkyard acquisition Class IV OEM wire brushed and painted and ready to install). Going to try and wire brush the inside of the bumper and POR 15 the rust has not eaten through the bumper, yet. The other issue is there mild surface rust on the rear bed support bracket, wire brushing the rear support bracket and going to POR 15 that also. Then onto the Wool Wax.

Does anyone know if there is a cure time for POR 15 until I can Wool Wax?

I’d give it a few days to fully harden and then blast away.

For my eBay shipping FedEx is always the cheapest unless I go with USPS Parcel Post which takes an incredibly long time to get delivered.

Their large shipping cost is their charge for handling the order I'm betting.

CRUNCH. Isn't that how it usually works? Fix the dent in the hood and repaint the rusty roof and then... Details omitted to protect the innocent, but... :annoyed: Thankfully, no one was hurt, no other vehicles involved. But the authorities got involved and the vehicle got towed and is now in the hands of USAA. Expecting them to total it. Any advice??? I can't imagine not fixing it. Looks like the only damage is to the rear quarter panel and the mirror... everything else is just scratches. Wheel even looks good. So bummed we didn't get it towed to our house instead. FUH.

I put in a super cheap anti-skid dash mat. It’s cabinet shelf liner cut to kind of match contours and held in place with double sided tape. Not sure if the tape will hold up after baking in the sun, but I’ll worry about that come July.

I’m curious see the pic of all the stuff you keep on the dash, or were all the happy meal toys not staying put?

I bought a set of the same one KaroS has. They are really cheap compared to other better manufacturers like the guys that build stuff on this forum mine bounce a bit as well but I havent noticed any high speed wind issues. The bolts for my lights were a little too close to the hood for my liking so I bent the mounts up a bit by hand and trimmed the bolts on the lights and have had zero problems.

See, I went the next step up in terms of thickness of bracket. I re-sealed them with some primer and a spray-on liner. I still have yet to stick my Baja Squadron Sports on them though. They've just been cruising on the truck for a couple months, but I didn't read where anyone had "bounce" issues with this set, and I didn't want to go full bore and get the $50+ ones.

Pre winter/hunting season wax. First time trying Turtle Wax Ice spray wax. Hit everything (including windows and all plastic/trim), washed floor mats and hit Tonneau Cover with 303. Looking forward to see how it holds up in the coming weeks/months. May reapply in late Nov/early Dec if we get a warm day (50's).

No you're seeing it right, they are trimmed and there is trim pushed onto edges.

Right on, I'll check it out :)

There was only a fedex shipping option and it was outrageous. I got a reply from them confused by it as well. They apologized and directed me to three other trusted vendors to get a fair shipping rate untill they figured out their issue lol.

It seemed like they were adding a 40% gratuity to ever order:rofl:

Haha. Phone, wallet, sunglasses, binos, etc., end up there often. Or they will now.
