I was hoping that doesn’t end up being the case. Really hoping to grab one before the snow starts falling.

That actually looks pretty good. I was thinking that it wouldn’t be bad, especially with a roof rack and other mods. This would definitely be utilitarian.

The difference between a 3rd and 2nd gen bed is, the 3rd is an inch taller, and the tailgate is different. The rest is the same

 

My rack sits 13" above the bedsides. The top of the rack is at the top of the 3rd brake light..

I have to be careful when I say stuff like that. When Ira Roseburg opened up the Toyota dealership up here, I went in looking at a used truck, when I drove off the lot, Ira came running out to stop me. We talked for a few minutes, he made the deal to my liking, I really wanted to talk with the wife. I told him that I needed to talk it over with the wife, he says what’s the number. Me not thinking, tell him and as he starts dialing, I’m thinking he is going hand the phone to me. Nope he starts chatting up my wife for a few minutes. I bought the truck for 9500 bucks, drive it for a few years and yota bought it back for 13.5k because of the frame.
