    They seem to be mounted to the body in the same pace the step bar normally would be. I would trust them for sliding across a rock, but I definitely wouldn't trust them for a big slam, like when your front tires clear a boulder.

    Look up Rock Rails by NFAB, they are literally the exact same if not the vendor SET uses. Not OEM, just a port installed option for that region, similar to the pop and locks they were installing, etc.
