In for more info as well.

As you said above, 60 mph (very fast), sideways (roll city), into a 'high' curb (more roll city jams) with side steps (not sure how this would do anything in this situation to save you from roll city) does not equate to damage shown.

I remember my first time on the internet too. Best to just pony up to the truth. Honesty is the best policy.

    This.

It's the first thing that came to mind the moment you mentioned the steering only feeling stiff on a parking lot.

Wouldn't be surprised if something else is broken though.

    Yeah.
That first alignment tab picture looks like it has moved, there's fresh scraped metal around the edge. I'd start with a new bolt, maybe bushings (or complete LCA with bushings), and try an alignment first. Then go from there before throwing tons of money at it. If they have no issues getting it back into alignment, you might be good.

Op how are you even traveling 60 mph sideways it’s a 3rd gen. Anyway I would think you would be rolling at that speed sideways already if not almost on 2 tires and then hit a curb causing even more momentum into a roll.... anyone care to re create this it could be like a TW myth busters

I got a text yesterday about the 2012 kia I leased... I have not had that car since 2015 and they still call me a few times a year to tell me the factory warranty is almost up.

Toyota Tacomas are far from there #1 target. They want something big so a lot of guys can fit in it with guns and possibly a kidnapped person. Tacomas offer none of those. They will take a new tacoma simply because its nice and one of them wants a new toy/to re sell it. Also, in many circumstances they don't even look for nice cars, they just try to take anything. Source: I live in the middle of it all.

You are correct and I wonder why nobody has called out the OP yet.
He probably hit a curb or something but at low speed. With the CG of a Tacoma, the trip angle is going to be low, which means the F is low, which means that they were going maybe 10 mph when they hit. Anything more and they qould have flipped the vehicle and the rear axle would have shifted several inches. In addition, the front axle would be bent, the LCA twisted like a pretzel and the rack missing a few teeth.

I don’t know. I’ve kidnapped quite a few people in my Tacoma while having other criminals with me. A little tight? Sure. But not tight enough to point where the job can’t/won’t get done. I think it’s fine, personally. 4/5 stars.
