61 here and I’ve got my down on, hunting for my ugg boots.

but 82 by noon so I’ll be hot and sweaty soon.

I just get so grumpy when it’s more than 3 degrees from 65!

My vote is for The Big Green Egg or similar
i prefer The Big Green Egg (or similar ceramic cooker). It is much easier to regulate the temperature on a BGE than an offset fire box cooker and the temperature is more consistent within the cooking area than across the cooking of an offset fire box pit. BGE will also support a much wider temperature range (200-650 degrees f. [you can go even higher but I don’t recommend it)).

I can appreciate those more than pellets. But I like tending the fire. It's relaxing to me. When I talk about an offset, I'm not talking about the store-bought trash. I do have one but my next build is going to be something a lot more air tight, thicker, heavier and something that'll last. I have built other smoker/grills/fire boxes but those were for R&D for me. Now I know what I want and how I'm going to build it.
