    I was pretty surprised to see the current high KBB on my truck is $100 less than I paid nearly 5 years ago. It is immaculate and modded with only 25k miles. The downside is the prices on new vehicles. Mine was paid off in 2018 so not looking for another payment but even adding $10k to the value doesn't give any real good options. I wouldn't sell it to buy another Tacoma.

    UPselling on a recall trip is so slimy. Taking advantage of bad design or poor product to profit off it. Bleh. My wife took her sportwagen in for a small recall and came with a 600$ bill of things they “highly recommended” needed done as well (she knows less than nothing about autos) I drove it back and made them undo anything they could and stopped payment via my bank. It was all good after that and she learned to never ever trust service at the dealer outright.

    A great deal came up locally on a 2018 that I couldn’t say no to.

    It tunes the ECU. Makes the throttle more responsive, changes shift points and fuel map. It's about $725 for everything you need. You can also find someone that has done it and buy credits for your ECU ID and pay them to do it for you for a lot less. I 100% agree, this is a must-have mod. If I had to pick only 1 mod for the Tacoma, it would be this.

    @reymataco

    Wrong!
    If only 1 person doesn't agree, then it's not 100%.
    And I happen to be one of the many that don't agree.
    My truck performs just fine WITHOUT a "tune".

    Hows the beam pattern on these? They look to be a carbon copy of the OEM LEDs, except for the side marker and the DRL strips.

    Is that the LC or the Lexus? My wife has the 2018 LC. If you used an OVTune on your Tacoma, Matt said he was going to have a tune available for the LC at some point.

    :fingerscrossed:

    I have BF Goodrich A/T's and they're a lot quieter than I was expecting. Whether or not they stay that way as they age is yet to be seen.

    I had Cooper Discoverer AT/3 on my last truck, but I’ve also had the Firestone Destination A/T on the same truck. Neither one droned on the interstate or changed the ride quality.

    I think you’ll be very happy with them- they usually seem to need a rebalance half way through their lifespan- but they stay quiet in my experience (i have ran 5 sets of bfgs from new to worn out) Hope they are as good for you as they have been for me. I’ll probably never even look at another A/T tire in future.

    It’s the same as your wife’s

    Interesting note on the OVtune. I didn’t have one on either of my Tacos, just traded in my AT for an MT instead. Seemed to fix the gear hunting problem :)

    I’ll keep my eyes peeled for this potential tune though!
