Just saved a ton a money by renting my college textbooks from Chegg.com

I was afraid I was going to shell $700 this quarter but only spent $300. Such a win! More money for mods. :D :D

I used coupon code: CC115417 at the checkout window and saved 20%+

I go to WSU and they have a book rental deal through Barnes and Noble, but the cost is about 50% of buying new...

Were you originally planning on buying used, or new? If used, then that's a pretty good amount of savings.

It's a rental program. They let you rent the books you need for the whole semester/quarter. They provide a pre-paid box, etc. so sending them back is a breeze.

All of the books I've received from Chegg have been brand new surprisingly. Pretty good program.

gotta be careful with chegg though. heard if there is even the smallest scratch on it they will charge you a damage fee of like a hundred or something around that. my buddy said he wouldn't use them again cause they keep charging damage fees when he returned them, and said only one was damaged the others looked like new

I never had a problem with this. I highlighted and crap all in my books... never had a problem.

I love chegg because 90% of the time, i end up selling the books. Easier and cheaper to just return them!

haha yeah man, it is totally worth it. especially since you end up selling your books anyways.

Like the OP One quarter my books were going to be close to $800 to buy them off Amazon and still ended up saving almost $600 by renting them

I always rent from Chegg. Fuck paying $500+ for books when I can rent them for around $150. Speaking of, I need to send this semester's back.
