Absolutely it is. Sure it has its querks but what vehicle doesn't. Still the best gen. All the gen 1 and 2 sh!t talkers are are just jelly. Besides most of those quirks are eliminated with the Ov Tune.

    LOVE my 3rd gen!

    Still stock completely capable!
Going to get smashed for this one but I was never a tacoma fan until the 3rd Gen, never even looked at Tacoma’s before they were to small for my liking. The 3rd Gen is one of the nicest looking vehicles on the road and when I seen one for the first time knew I had to have one!! Bought one and never regretted it even for a second! Love the way it drives, amazing off-road! Never had a single issue! And the cool thing is the 3rd Gen has finally given me an appreciation for all Tacoma’s and Toyota in general! Can’t wait to add a Tundra and FJ or LC to the steel family!

I would say its the best Gen you can buy new right now.

my new 3rd gen has already been at the dealers more than all the other Toyota pickups (87, 90, 2000, 2002) I have purchased new, combined.

If your happy that is all that matters

I’ve always been a Toyota fan, but the first-Gen Taco’s always felt too small for me. I hated the dash/gauge layout on the 2nd Gens but for me the 3rd gens hit the sweet spot! Nice size, modern interior (one of the reasons I passed on a Tundra) and a nice looking exterior. I’m only six months in since my purchase but so far I’m very pleased with the truck.

I like the cosiness of the 1st Gen cab. However, the 3rd Gen tech is very nice. And mine came with a scoop. ;)
