I just replaced my lower uniball on the drivers side. Whenever I would turn it would sound like an old man creaking. Normally I just spray some teflon lube in it and it goes away, this was by far the worst. I wore out the teflon liner of the uniball itself. When I get some down time I will replace the others..

I have skids and sliders on 265/75r16 and the two other trucks I was with were stock (2015 DCLB and 2018 ACLB OR) and we made it out there just fine with a little bit of rock stacking here and there. No body damage except for some skid plates and frame scrapes. It's a pretty good trail but there are a couple of nice ledges and tight squeezes for sure.

It is certainly long though, we brought 20 gallons of extra fuel for 3 vehicles and that sufficed but required us to make a bee line for green river after we exited onto highway 24. You can drive to Hite as well if you're looking for other options (I've never done that). While the flint trail is probably the quickest way in it is my least favorite entry point, it's super steep, very loose, and very tight. I don't think it gets played up enough. Going up it is preferred to going down in my opinion.
Campsite 1/2 are epic in the dollhouse while 3 is cool it's just kinda far away from the goods!

So, you’re going down for ROCKtober? If so, what’s your plan? My truck is going in for the fuel pump recall on Thursday, so barring some extreme case, I should have it back Thursday nought.

My son had his last soccer game next week. I may have to skip it.

Yes, it's extremely in demand as well, I think it opens up 3 months in advance and usually is either filled or near full upon opening. Lots of special regs to get out there as well: orientation, portable toilet(pack in and pack out everything), no off trail hiking, etc.

...I dont wanna talk about it.

Upside is that camburg got me a pair of replacement ball joints lickety split so ill put them in this week probably.

Thankfully its just the boot, so a fresh shot of grease and some saran wrap will keep it kosher till i can swap it out.

Nope. Meeting some friends from Texas with an insane Sprinter van and camping down by the Green river.

That's still really high in mpg even if you were going downhill.

I don't even think I have seen 20 mpg when my truck was stock.

question for anyone running a fridge/freezer thingy like an ARB or a Dometic.

Are y'all running it off of your truck's battery? or a completely separate battery? or from a dual battery setup?

I got back from a trip and as much as I love my cooler and how well it performs for the <$100 I spend on it, I am getting sick and tired of dealing with ice and water...and I don't want to have to buy more icepacks just to deal...(might have to if that's the more cost effective way I can handle this issue)

I run off a deep cycle battery that I replaced my OEM one with. I forewent a dual setup because I rarely camp in the same spot twice, or at the very least am driving in my truck during the day if we basecamp so the battery has the ability to recharge.

Dual batteries really shine when you are parked for long periods of time and wish to drain down one battery and still have the confidence to start the truck when you need to leave. Additionally, deep draw items like winches can benefit.

More than welcome to swing by the house and I'll let you take a peek

We're having the same debate in my house right now...

My wife is pushing to buy a bunch of nice yeti icepacks. We've heard great things about them, but I can't imagine they're that much better than the cheap ones we already have.

I'm already running a dual battery setup to power other things in my camper, so it'd be real easy to add the fridge/freezer. It's still a good chunk of change for these things though!

Yeah, I've thought about buying a few of those ice-packs. I have some cheap ones and they are phenomenal. Hell, they were even half frozen after the weekend in Moab just now. I just hate the whole use ice to fill the nooks and crannies. and everything will get super wet. I wish the fridges were cheaper though. would totally revolutionize my camping experience for cheaper. They're almost as much as a full size fridge! lolol.

yeah, there have been only a few times when I ran away from my truck and left it to go ride my bike or do something. It's those moments that make me want a dual battery even though I don't need a dual battery for 95% of my life. :/ I might take you up on checking out how you wired everything up. curious to see it. Even though the major hurdle is cost of the system.

I do keep one of those jump packs in the back for peace of mind as well being single battery.

Check out this link for a cheaper fridge option quite a few members have been rocking

Man I sure hope the market slows down on tacomas here in the next couple months when i'm ready to buy. A 2018 with 25k miles for $38k or a brand new off road for $38k? Hmmmmm.... People are asking way too much for their used Tacomas, i've seem some over the price of a brand new one and it's 3-4 years old it's ridiculous... I might as well just buy a pro...

Yeah I accidently copied the wrong link cause that's a long bed and the new one isn't but still. I have a buddy that works at Tony Divino and he can get me a good deal, I might just go that route.
