Fitting 35’s with minimal trimming NOW ADDING LONG TRAVEL AND 934 CV’s

I use the plastic welding setting on my miller 255

 

He used the new plastic tig rods with his tig torch. It's pretty amazing stuff.

 

I hope you used the black core rod, I don't like the almond color.

Damn, I only have the 215, it doesn't have that setting

 

The clips aren't the only part that broke. The spots on the flares where the clips clip into ended up breaking off unfortunately! I've thought about drilling holes through them and bolting them on with spacers behind, but honestly just couldn't be bothered.

 

Yup, those square slots for the clips get torn / worn out and the entire plastic piece can come off the back of the flare too. I helped a buddy cut his a couple years ago and we added epoxy (jbweld) to all of those tabs and then used speed clips and screws with nylon washers from the inside of the fender. Turned out really strong and serviceable via the screws

 

Yeah mine got ripped off too. Partly from some poorly clearanced tires secondly these damn shoots, roots, sticks, and trees they would brush up against bend and what not. The rear well might have something to with some dents on the bedsides

 

You east coasters should build coat racks at your trail heads ...for your fenders. Pull up - pop off fenders and bedsides - go dry hump some trees - put fenders back on and drive home

 

Why do you think it's big to have lots of tire sticking out past the fender it's like the slider for the fender

That's a hell of a business idea dzus fasteners on them all and bam ready to rock and roll no worries.

 

I mean that’s basically what I do. If it’s a crawling trip, fiberglass comes off and stock cut up and bent stuff goes on. It’s a 15 min swap to care a lot less about body damage

 

What's fiberglass that's like kryptonite here you'd never have it on your truck. We don't have the places really to get up and moving like ya'll do. If we get up to 20-25 it's like we're going 100. Ya'll are lucky to have a little bit of everything and can get a taste of EC wheelin' if you go up to the PNW some of those places are a lot like ours.
