GA Traverse camping trip 11/20

yes but there is restrictions. that being no conceal carry of long guns. same between alabama and florida. pistols are good to go.

 

Including any ar15/ar10 with a barrel less than 16" and a 'brace' rather than a adjuatable/fixed stock?

That sucks, don't really know FL law on it, but I do know when I go to Florida I just open carry and always always have a fishing pole with me. Love the loophole in law where open carry legal while on the way fishing, leaving fishing or fishing in general.

 

See now you got me thinking. those would be a "pistol" but not sure... i dont have one at the moment so dont care. nor do i care about carrying a long gun anyways. i just have my 2 pistols i carry (XD-40 for open carry, mp shield 40 for concealed.)

Ever since the pistol "brace" can be shouldered got changed I've sold off every long barrel except the .308 & my first ever ruger 10/22. Every ar15 upper I have is 10.5" (5.56, 300blkout, 6.5 grendel). Shield 40 is my bedside piece...I like!

 

Yeah but now I wanna get a 1day license and harvest a doe so we eat good!

hey now, no one said anything about snow...... i might need to rethink this trip. i dont know if my florida body can handle that shit anymore

 

We got snow in March last year...….well......a light dusting.....but if I can make a snowball and throw it......it's snow

 

i didnt get any in march when i camped in GA this last year... i was in shorts sitting in the river to cool off.

 

that looks like so much fun. now im even more excited for this trip

 

I had a great time. It's not what most would consider "wheeling", but I enjoyed it.

Ran the eastern part of the GA Traverse for the first time this weekend. Was a blast. Plan to go back in beginning of DEC to explore more. Enjoy guys!

 

How many miles of trail we riding? Do we need to bring extra gas?

 

I'm up for whatever we decide. I'm more of a take it as it comes camper with no real plan

 

Lol same here. I’m getting rotopax’s for my trip out west, may as well bring them on this trip. I’ll just look cooler even if I don’t use them
