Wait...I don't see the 471254. Did you mean the 470254, or am I looking at the wrong page?

Is there a consensus on where the best placement for the interior antenna should be?

You want it to be as close to where you will be using the phone. the range from it is not very far. Ideally the phone is next to it. In the tests I saw if you are outside or in the backseat you will lose a bar or 2 if your getting a big boost.

Yeah, that second video the guy shows it having t be within an inch or two of the internal antenna.

In looking at the website though, it seems they have ones for single passenger and multiple passenger. Obviously, the multi-passenger internal antenna is going to be better, but I think you still have to be pretty close.

471254 ordered! Wife wasn't on board with spending a bunch of money on a roof rack, but this she was happy to spend the funds on!

Looking forward to mounting it up. Might attach to back side of awning...

Hopefully shipping is quick for y'all and we'll get some "action shots" while you're away from society. You know, cause you'll have signal out there and all....

Is there a multi-user internal antenna? I only see the small thin brick looking one.

Hopefully the 471254 model comes with the multiple passenger antenna?

I've seen possibly mounting it underneath the opening clasp of the center console as a potential position. I have a moon roof so I feel like that might limit options on mounting from the headliner.

The small thin one that comes with most kits is multi-user, but as reviews state, the phones need to be within inches of it for best signal. Looks like the Wilson Desktop antenna might be an option, but it still requires close proximity.

I believe the single user antenna is basically a phone cradle. So I think y'all ordered the one with the multi-user antenna.

I'm interested to know how you ran the exterior antenna cable into the cab. Through the door seems kinda janky.

I don't have mine yet, but I'll probably go through one of the rubber grommets in the floor. My CB cable runs out under the driver seat. 7+ years and no water has gotten into the cab through the hole.

Any idea if this is a temporary deal, or indefinite? I already ordered a setup for my truck (through this deal) and want to see how well it works and decide if I want to buy one for the house, too.
