    I switched to Camburg. No more rubbing. That gusset is just too much for 35's

    I was afraid of that. I hate the idea of pushing the wheel further out and more into the cab mount. What are your wheel and tire specs?

    Ivan Stewart TRD wheels, 4.5" BS w/ Bora .75" spacer(3.75" total BS). 315/75/16 Milestar Patagonia tires. Only reason I still have the spacer is because the tire wants to rub on my shock reservoir and thats the smallest spacer that will successfully fit. I prob only really needed .25" to clear the reservoir. When I tested it without the spacer, it didn't rub on the control arm though.

    I tried a 1.25” spacer I had, but it was wayyy too much offset. It also put me into the already chopped and beaten parts too much. It wouldn’t hurt to get a little further away from my resi, too. I’m hoping the 0.75” spacer will work. If not, I’ll probably try another control arm. I just hate to buy something and hope it works...

    Okay everyone. I got a hold of JBA Offroad then said it is absolutely ok to use washers to help close up the gap. So I’ll be adding in 2 slimmer washers to add up to the size of the existing washer that I have on. Hope this helps anyone else.

    So in regards to alignment with JBA HC arms, by what I’m reading I should just get camber and toe in factory specs or close to zero and get caster to be at 3 degrees or more? I’m trying to find a good set of alignment specs so I can take it to a alignment shop my friend told me about. Most shops I’ve been can’t do the job well.

    I have 285/75/16 with 1.25 wheel spacer I believe and rub a little bit. And I’m throwing on some icons and will have it be around 2.5” of lift up front. Hoping some higher caster will push it away from the cab and stop the rub but I think I will still have to do a cmc in the future I just can’t right now.

    Can someone post their ideal wheel alignment specs with more castor after installing JBAs? It would be good to have a copy on hand to show the wheel alignment shop what is the correct specs after installing JBAs.

    By that alignment spec sheet 05 plus Tacoma was at 3 degrees and the third gen 4runner was at 4 degrees, does anyone know if being at 4 degrees is better vs 3? Will 4 help with more stability, ride quality and help push the tire away from the cab and clear from rubbing? im still new in regards to alignment knowledge. Thanks!

    I like Castor at 3.5* +/- 0.5* (more is better). More pushes the wheel further forward in the wheel well. Think about a bicycle or motorcycle forks. The forks are your castor. Strait up and down, super easy to steer, but hit a bump and you're all over the place. The further out they are, the harder it is to steer, but hit a bump and you've got control.

    Good explanation that helped me grasp it better. Do you find 3.5* is the sweet spot between having control over bumps but still have ease of steering?

    Also anyone know if ever adjusting caster higher affects the uca hitting the the coil spring? Or does alignment have nothing to do with that? Currently I’m hitting at my coil spring with jba but I’m also running a crappy 3inch lift spacer on 3rd Gen stock trd Offroad shocks on my 2nd Gen which lifts it another inch but I have a heavy steel bumper that sags it all down. And my current castor is left side 2.9* and right side is 3.1*

    (I know it’s a horrible setup, that’s why I bought 2.5 EXTENDED travel icons RR CDCV to do it right this time lol this Saturday is install day)

    3.7 to 3.8 seems to work well.

    I got mine to 4.1 and 4.2 drives real nice, stable on road and still steers easy, returns to center well after making a turn. Can't find the sheet from the shop. But basically maxing out cam bolts on back pivot point of lca.

    And I figured it was. I’m happy to get rid it soon and get it all lifted correctly.

    Noticed that my boots look like they’re deteriorating after being on the truck about a month. I emailed Marlin, so maybe it’s a bad batch? Anyone else had this happen? 9821F68B-7569-4577-AAB4-6275D7BCA77D.jpg

    Mine have been on for about 2 months so far and I haven't noticed any degrading of the boots yet. But I'll keep my good eye on them now.
