Hello, I am looking to get a lift kit and change my tires on my stock tacoma wheels to 285/70/16 eventually I want to get stealth series which are also 16

but the stock wheels are 16x7

if get different wheels like stealth series F5 16 which have diameter of 8” will the tires make a problem? I don’t want to run into the issue of having to need different tires

    hopefully I make sense

8 inch wheel is recommended for a 285 series tire although you can run it on a 7 to 9 inch wheel.

Running 285’s on stock off-road wheels require wheel spacers. Bora and Spidertrax are the only ones I would run. Also new upper control arms will help to move wheel forward and also get a better alignment after lift. Lots goes into these trucks to lift IMO.
    GOOD LUCK OP

    275/70 isn't a very common size for AT/MT with 16inch wheels.

285/75 or 265/75 is much more common. Would be nice.
