Hello! I live in Sterling, Colorado now but am originally from San Diego, California and used to go off roading all over the place out there.

I’ve owned two Tacoma’s in my life. My first first one was a 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 extra cab. It had a 2.7 liter 4 cylinder and a 5 speed manual transmission. I stupidly leased this truck and was told the residual amount would turn into a finance deal at the end if I chose to do so. I wanted to but due to the truck having I think around 218,000 miles on it I couldn’t get financing for it so I had to turn in the truck and walk away. Fortunately, an attorney friend saved my butt and the dealership ate the over mileage fees due to the salesman lying.

My next one was a 2007 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road 4x4 extra cab with the 4.0 V-6 and 6 speed manual transmission. This time around I financed the truck and have never done a lease deal since the one time. I had this truck until either 2014 or 2015? I hated getting rid of this truck but did so for family reasons. My wife and I had 4 kids and we needed a truck that would fit the entire family in it so I traded the truck in on a full size Chevy Silverado.

I still have a newer Chevy Silverado that I will be keeping for the things that I need for it but am going to be buying myself a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road Pro. Once I buy that truck I will always own a Tacoma from here on out and will never be in a position where I don’t ever have one again. I miss going off roading and camping off grid in my Tacoma’s, so freaking much. So getting another one cannot happen fast enough!
