Got back from Thanksgiving Vacation with GT5 at the front door. Did a few races, and not to shabby. Anyone know if theres a way to import Gran Turismo: Prologue cars? For some reason I remember reading that you could.

Just spent that last 15mins catching up on this thread. Seems like there's a lot of grumbling...Hopefully a few patches will get this squared away. I noticed that the "damage" modeling is a joke. I was hoping the would implement something like Forza where certain parts could be damaged. And no clutch? Really? Maybe I haven't dug deep enough yet.

yeah i was hoping for a clutch too, and also i wanted to have to downshift to reverse instead of having a reverse button, i mean its not a big deal but i like more realism:D

If you have a GT5 on the PSP then you can move 50 cars from the PSP to the PS3. I have 157 cars on the PSP and downloaded 50 to the PS3 but you can only use them in the Arcade mode which is OK to split screen racing. The X-runner cost me 14,000 with 68000 miles on it, a few modes and she has 357hp and kickin some but. I am at level 12, when you open up the pro races or expert (third set) Do the race that has the daytona track. The race is 3 laps and you make 17000 points. If you when the hot race in the second set you win a 63 Buick speical that was on GT4. The car is very fast and handles great if you add shocks. The onloine dirt races are great but the GTR is kickin butt, but it is heavy and does not handle all that great. Its just fast.

Added "nite454" to you freinds list because you can share cars and don't need to buy some of the sorry cars that you will never drive again.

Here is another GT5 video, this time of the original 16hp Fiat 500 trying to run a rally race up a hill. The stupid thing does not even have enough hp to make it up the hill. For those of you that just want to see the "money shot," the race starts at 2:00 in, and the car stalls at ~4:00 in to the video.

Dont know if anyone has mentioned it, but I unlocked the Bugatti Veryon after completing the lvl15 Gran Turismo World Challenge. Unfortunately, the Veryon is a "standard" car, not a "premium" car, so it is not nearly as pretty as it could be.

On a side note, the 1954 Corvette is available through the used car dealership. The description is not for the Corvette though, it is for the Chevy Silverado SST concept.

Standard cars have no interior view and you can't really modify them. (I.E. wheels and aerodynamics etc.)

Playin it now. No problems. It's pretty cool. A lot like the last few, but the graphics are sick.
