Here she is, all (mostly clean) after getting her back from Extra Mile performance. Jeremy and his crew did a great job with the install despite having to wait a few days for a lower spring perch to arrive that wasn’t in the kit that I bought. Words of warning:

    1. Don’t bring parts that you order and ask them to install it, let them order it and ship it to the shop.

    2. Bring a change of shorts/pants/skivies from home when you go to his shop...the amazing spectrum of Toyota brand off road sexiness in his parking lot can cause staining of shorts and heart palpitations.

    3. Don’t hit on the redhead (Stephanie) that works at the front desk. She’s married and also owns more muscle cars, motorcycles, and big trucks than you do. Just be nice to her and she’ll be nice to you.

    4. After getting 3 quotes from a variety of shops local to Crofton/Odenton/Annapolis- EMP was the least expensive (with alignment) was under $800 (and they do a military discount!).

I do have a bit of a rear bro lean that will be resolved by an AAL in the near future. This whole thing has me thinking about what’s next, and I really think I’m going to sell my truck. It’s fun and I love my truck, but my life just doesn’t have time for off road trails and camping a whole lot right now. I just need a cheap commuter for to and from work that allows me to put more money into other responsibilities.

Looks bad ass Brother! Maybe keep the truck and buy a compact beater? I hear Celicas get great MPGs.

That celica is every 16 yr old’s wet dream, and every parent’s nightmare. I get your point, but the truck isn’t paid off (only has about 50k miles on it). If I get some thing else, it would be to temporarily replace owning a Tacoma. I’m also trying to downsize other financial burdens right now, I have a feeling that it would be really good to be as financially liquid and solvent in the near future. Here’s a pic of the cockpit...

Mornin' Y'all! It's a fine fall Maryland morning!

Hey @chiefcrunchy where can I find a couple decent axe handles? Also do I want 36" or 48"? I'm going to use them in the truck on trails. I picked these up at a yard sale yesterday for five bucks apiece. Also, what types of heads are these? I know you know your shit when it comes to all this.

    20201018_094648.jpg

It's a shame the handles need to be replaced. I really dig this style. The one on the left is completly shot, and the one on the right has some issues up by the head. The axe on the top has a hole in the head, but only on one side. I searched for Union and Atlas axes with no luck.

I have a 28" Fiskars and a little camp hatchet already but I'm not opposed to one of these being less than 28" if you think that's a good idea.

Great score! $5 is hard to pass, the Atlas looks like a Michigan pattern. The other 1 looks like a Rockaway pattern. But I'll get you some more info.
Pretty sure I can find the replica handle.

What do the heads weigh? They should have a # marked on it somewhere?

The engine transferred up there. The truck stayed and held down the town of pigs. :benchpress:

I really wish I had time to restore/re-handle those axes for ya. I’m a woodworker, and most of us really have a thing for axes. If time isn’t of the essence, I can probably take care of them for you (not asking for anything, just enjoy doing them!).

Beautiful weekend to be in the woods. I spent just about all day today solo out riding the atv, so relaxing. This is a trail that cuts thru that property that I have a contract on. One large tree would have to come down to fit trucks.
