You can save ~$10 by using spring nuts from HD. You have to grind to fit though. A six-pack of Dos Equis is running ~$9.50 at Kroger, just sayin'.

Installed a couple of D-rings on the bed cubby bolts for light-duty use. The D-rings have 1000 lb WLL stamped on them (yeah right).

I just spent the better part of an hour with a rubber mallet trying to get the tail pipe tip off. It moved an inch. WTF am I doing wrong? Last step in blacking out the truck. Might as well paint it int place.

 

Sounds like you have two easy choices: 1) Bigger Hammer, 2) same rubber mallet and tighten that tip back down, have a beer and forget about it

 

I use these along with the Tnuts in the bed rails. Added to my Diamondback cover as they are both functional and good looking.

 

Did you open your TRD Pro skid and inspect for missing bolts? They are notorious for falling out of the grab handles.

 

I had the same problem. I gave up, taped everything around it, then rattle can. Not perfect but it gets dirty anyways.

Finally got my Howe 1450 psi steering pump mod in. This mod was challenging. I’ll prolly do a write up as this is not easy to do. Lots of machine shop time. Had to reroute the coolant lines to the oil filter to make room,drill out the pump to fit the Tacoma bolt make a custom pump sensor fitting and have the stock banjo fitting cut off and braised over to #6AN on the pressure hose ,so everything will will work better than stock.

 

That does NOT look right at all.

Yes. As a matter of fact, you also won't have the annoying shut off after opening the door since you have a key. Plus, N2 even makes one for if you have a manual transmission.

 

That looks to be for the Tundra. Nothing listed for Tacoma.

 

Ditto. I had the TSB applied and I am without complaint, Performs wonderfully. For me, $700 software solution was cost prohibitive.
