If you were closed up, could you haul something like a kayak/canoe lying flat on the prinsu without the RTT getting in the way?
This is my goal..finding a bed rack low enough to haul the tent and my kayak which sits upside down on the rack.

I run the mobtown bed bars (to work with tonneau) that are just 6 inches in height. If you have a prinsu on the cab, it would probably be an inch or two taller than my GoFSR tent on the bed rack.

I plan to get a prinsu and a canoe and don’t foresee any issues

that is my plan actually for warmer trips, I have 2 11’ SUPs that will strap to the UpTop roof rack and lay across the RTT. The ladder on top makes it high by like 2” but not too worried about it

Long time lurker, first time poster (in this area). Loving the RTT life. So easy to set up. And, way better than sleeping on the ground!

I used my CVT Mt Shasta RTT for the first time while on our 6 day West Virginia overland trip. I will agree with everyone else on the foam mattress, it not very comfortable even after using a spread and thick sleeping bag for some more cushion. Overall it perform well, I used a buddy heater in the annex to warm it up just prior to bed.

    I’ll play!
@CaliRaisedLed bed rack with a 23Zero Weekender tent.
Moving the setup to a trailer just as soon as I find a sweet deal on one.

Hi All. I have a 23Zero traditional fold out RTT that I've owned for a few years. After camping this weekend I realized I am DONE with the 20 minute set up, all of the long metal spring things, etc. Done.

So that brought me here, I want a hard top, 1 min set up/ take down tent. From my angry research last night (after getting freezing fingers from the 20 minutes it took to close my current RTT at 5k feet in 40 degrees in downpouring soaking rain....I know I do not want one that just pops straight up because I like to be able to add an annex/ owning onto it. So far, I found FSR (seems like Odyssey is there now their only hard top) and iKamper (probably the skycamp-2x) as the two top makers? I do NOT want a motorized/ electronic one. Any others to consider?

i have the odyssey and i love it. Coming from the traditional fold out style soft bags i wanted less wind noise, easy set up and no damn window rods.

    Big fan so far.

I do not want a wedge because of the lack of head room on one side and that most of those wedges and pop ups do not have annex/ awning compatibility.

haha, I saw your FS post my friend. It's a great deal. I just do not want more electronic stuff to worry about breaking, running out of batteries, etc. I have plenty of that on my truck.

I'll let you know when I get it, put my order in last month. From everything I've seen, it looks interesting and decently thought out.

According to the second video, they leave their blankets and pillows in the tent when its closed and they enjoyed it so we will see. The Price is pretty nice as well.
