My conversation with the man at the Fairfax VA Toyota dealer parts counter yesterday landed me here for group advice. I need a referral of a shop/person to replace the frame in my 1998 single cab 4wd truck thatIMG_0668.jpg IMG_0669.jpg I've now owned for seven years. Vehicle is long overdue for this job. I did this kind of work decades ago on Series Land Rover trucks, but need to pay to have it done now by an experienced man. Truck is still registered and insured and "safe" and I'm willing to deliver the vehicle to the shop for this work even at some distance, if I am confident of the job quality. Thanks in advance for the help to keep it going. Pete

Is the frame only compromised in these locations? Overall ok? If so I can cut out the bad frame sections and weld in new ones. Done that job many times on 4runners, Tacomas, Jeeps etc.

Hi Daniel/DOUBLLD, Thanks for your quick reply to my situation. Photos show the worst, but other areas need addressing. I would be eager to show you the truck in person for your evaluation. I see you are in Sterling, I'm in the Fairfax Station/Clifton area. Give me a way to contact you locally, or I'll give you my number to call me if you prefer. Thanks in advance, Pete
