Just thought I would drop this post here, as others may be looking in the future, and I couldn’t find anything on the 3rd Gens.

Applied Fluid Film to my 2018 yesterday, and lost a body plug from the rocker panel. Fortunately, the part numbers are on the actual plugs, as I had a heck of a time finding them otherwise. Just in case someone needs that info and they can’t read the microscopic print on the other plugs, the data from my plugs is below.

The part number for the plugs on the outside of the rocker seam is:
    90950-01956 (18mm diameter)
    F4D0F442-7DE8-449A-AD17-E78EB6BE1520.jpg

The part number for the plugs on the inside of the rocker seam is:
    90950-01955 (15mm diameter)
    22DDECC5-0115-46BE-B693-5E45432D899E.jpg

Funny enough, I took one of those plugs into the dealership to get a new one.... they couldnt find the part number and guessed 3 times on the part(despite me telling them the PN is on it)... finally one of the parts guys said the part number is right here, why were they ordering random plugs?

That sounds exactly like the parts guy at my dealer. Super nice guy, but just doesn’t know much about what he’s selling. Several times, I’ve had to help him find what I was looking for (clips, screws, etc). It’s just easier for me to order the exact part number I need online, then stop in at the dealer to pick it up.

FYI those are EPDM which doesn’t handle chemicals well. They will eventually blow up like a balloon so when you are done oiling I would wipe the hole so that not much oil gets on the plugs. Same with the door seals that’s why if you get oil rustproofing it’s hard on your weatherstripping as it’s usually EPDM too.

Hey guys, hate to resurrect an old thread, but anyone know the part numbers for the other grommets under there? I had mine undercoated with Woolwax and looks like they forgot to put one back in. Want to get that hole plugged ASAP, definitely before the winter and salt season starts and gets in there.

Here's a pic of the opposite side to see what grommet is missing:
    PXL_20201018_163318105.jpg

And here it is missing on the other side:
    PXL_20201018_163353801.jpg

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the part number is printed on those ones.

Pop it off, the part number should be on the other side of it. I had to order a replacement one (same plug) awhile back and the number was on the plug

Here's some Toyota drawings with part numbers for hole plugs for a 2020 Access Cab. Hope this helps...

Exactly the reason i didn't shoot any rust inhibitor inside those rockers. While my gen 1 tundra never had rocker plugs....in the 19 years owned they never rusted either. I just kept them clean of any salt buildup, and sprayed fluid film outside on them every year. I think toyota does a good enough job on coating them with their paint.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can figure it out with these tips. I'll probably pop the one out too just to verify.

Sorry for the dumb question but what do these plugs do exactly? I assume drainage of moisture?

My running boards press against them and I wonder if that would cause any adverse affects in the long term...

Ideally they should be keeping moisture from getting into the holes, I believe.

I pulled out the one that was there and it looks like the part number is 90950-01959. Now hopefully they have them in stock at the local dealer!

Good to know plug part#’s as reference. We should gather a list of all of them and perhaps it’ll make it to be a sticky for easy access/find the thread!

About to fluid film my truck this weekend. The kit I bought included a bunch of these plugs. Do you guys use new replacements each time you remove the plug or can I just reuse the original toyota plugs?

Just keep reusing the toyota one. Its not a wear item, and unless you use a live squirrel to remove them they dont get damaged.

Also the plugs your kit came with are probably ones designed for you to drill holes in the body, put the spray wand in, then plug with the provided plugs.
