I thought about bringing the mongrels along. They are 9 and 6, but to be honest with you the idea of going without them is more appealing than bringing them along. First time out in the truck wheeling would be more about me than them. They'd probably drive me nuts and I'd end up leaving them there. ;)

Haven't used the hitch yet but I may in the near future. Right now I'm dealing with a slipping clutch with only 11000 miles. Seems like all the Jersey/NY guys are dealing with some issues with their trucks. Taking it back to the dealer again. First time there it was slipping only 4th. Now it's 2nd,3rd,4th,and 5th. Wheeling it might finish it off.

Carlos, have you had it to the dealer yet for the clutch? I'm going this week for an oil change. Spoke to Toyota and I don't have to go back to the dealer I bought it from for the free oil changes (first two years) so I'll probably take it to Hillside being they handled the buyback on my '99. Want to have them take a look at the clutch. I noticed when driving on 280 (in the hills) and up some steep roads in Watchung, I can smell the clutch. I'm making sure to stay in an easy gear and am not pushing it. Figure I'll at least get it documented.

Count me in. Just let me know when and where we'll meet. Never had this truck offroad and very limited on my '99 so I'll do my best to keep up with everyone.

Took it a couple of days after it first happened. Of course they couldn't get it to slip and when I drove with the tech, I couldn't either. It's been documented and a second visit will, at the very least, leave a longer paper trail. Let me know how you make out at Hillside. Autoland didn't give me any crap other than needing to see it happen first hand.
