Anyone need a stock exhaust for a 3rd Gen? Really hate to throw this thing away. Less than 1500 miles on it.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I hope you'll forgive me for the not Taco related post, but I need some help. Last mothers day my mom went in the hospital. Between the hospital stay and rehab, she was gone for about five months. We decided to adopt her cat, and bring her to our house. We have two others here and thought with some work we could socialize them. It hasn't worked, and now they are marking the house. We are taking the appropriate steps to clean and destress the cats, but my wife is done. We need to find a new home for Olivia. Mom is not able to take her back for safety reasons, like trip hazards. Oliva is a 10 yr old, about 9 pound, female Maine Coone, fixed, front declaw, micro chipped. She has been the only cat in mom's apartment, and I think will be a social cat. She will cuddle with me now, and when I stayed at moms apartment, but is selective of others, including my wife. (Although she is getting better.) There was some negative history with the vsiting vet at moms apartment (senior tower), but those behaviors have not shown themselves here. She would do best in a house as the only cat, but I do think with proper socializations (we had a rocky start) that she would be ok with a male cat. Kids / dogs are unknown. She is current on vet visits, documents available. Her cat tower, litter box, and "sleeping cave" and blankets she sleeps on can come with her. I will bring provide transport withina few hours of northern Virgina. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Pelican finally released their cargo cases. I jumped on one for the Tacoma. Overpriced as usual for Pelican stuff, but I'm happy. Now to unload the tool box solution I made....

How's the quality on those? Been debating about tucking the 55 up against the cab next to my CO2 bottle and getting the recovery crap out of the cab.

They're not as sturdy as their cases. I was kind of surprised that I could see light through the sides. The lid is pretty stout and there's a seal. Pelican says they're weather resistant. The handles and everything else are nicely done though. All in all they're not worth the price, but the fact that the mounts are vehicle specific is what sold me.

Cool thanks. I guess I might as well just go for a standard case then at those prices.

If that's what you're deciding between I would say yes, without a doubt. I was hoping for an actual Pelican case, but it's not. I kept it because it's lighter than what I had and much easier to remove.

    My TW friends:

I'm moving onto Phase 97 with the Tacoma and have two items to unload:

The first is a black Weather Guard toolbox. It's been modified slightly. I added on a handle to either side and drilled two holes in the back for use with a mount. The mount will work if you have the front utility track (can be added for $40). It's actually a Hi-Lift mounted that I modified to work. Basically, you slide two bolts attached to the Hi-Lift mount through the back of the toolbox. The holes in the back of the toolbox have rubber grommets in them for slickness. Then there are two thumbwheels to thread onto the bolts. The toolbox locks, so essentially the toolbox is locked to the truck. I have both keys for the toolbox and it's in great condition. The lid has gas struts as well. I believe I made a rubber mat for the bottom that's in there. Or it came with it. I can't remember. It'll fit under a bed cover no problem. Model: 644-5-01 for the tool box. The Hi-lift mount is from 4x Innovations. $300

The other deal is my BakFlip G2 bed cover. It's in good shape and around a year old. Should fit 2nd and 3rd gens. I'm hoping to get $650 for that. More information on the cover is better-found on BakFlip's website.

Please buy my things! I want a topper!

Have a few pictures if someone is actually interested. Going on CL if not. Toodles.

I've seen them and they're ok... same issue for me is that a true Pelican is only a hair more so I'll probably go that route if I can't find a Weather Guard or something similar in aluminum.

I wish I could find a use for my 1650 case since I went back to Hardigg cases for my camping gear... it's just too damn big and takes up a quarter of the bed space.

Hey, everyone. How much does it typically cost to install a 2” body lift? I’m getting quotes for $900-1250 just for the labor. I’ve read online that is very high, but I don’t know what a reasonable range is. Anyone have any ideas before I jump the gun?

    thanks :)

@boogie3478 would have an idea since he recently paid for a 1” BL installed.

I just did a 1 inch body lift on my '14 access cab. Yours should be a little easier because its a regular cab. However, it being a 2 inch lift, it may require a steering shaft extension and a fuel fill hose extension. Did either of these come with your kit? Are you wanting the bumpers raised up too?
I may be able to do it through our shop at Caliber Collision in Sterling. Shoot me a pm. I'll ask our manager tomorrow. We can probably beat that price too
