that speed triple was not a good track bike, but it's all I had at the time. Found broken plastics that I collected and fixed. Made like 75 whp in that set up lmao. I could barely pull SV650's on the straights. Got a better exhaust, tuned it on the dyno, and now it's mid 90's. It's the garage queen.

I quit track riding. I never crashed on track but had a couple close calls. I'm too competitive with myself to be faster. I also got frustrated because of the rules and how the groups are categorized. I don't feel I have enough experience for A group, I group is a total free for all, and Novice is a bit too slow with no allowed passing in the turns. I'd probably give it another try if I had a track close by. But I generally have more fun on the street I think.

well before i bought the Z, i hadnt ridden in like 5 years. but even then i didnt ride often since i was in alaska. back when i got the GSXR and learned i was living in Key West so i always rode down there. And here it just fits. I get 50 mpg whereas my truck gets 15. and i commute 60 a day for work... so cheaper.

i have never tracked. i want to though. I think the closet one to me is in Fort Lauderdale. which is like a 3 ish hr drive give or take. street riding is more fun though for me as well. i love just going on night rides and cruising around. made alot of friends that way.

It's probably been ~8 years since I've ridden. Still licensed somehow though. I always liked the Indian Scouts. Never bought one though. Probably won't unless my mid-life crisis involves two wheels. :notsure:

Just sold my bass the other week. Played a bit just messing around but I haven't played in a couple years. Don't have anyone to jam with anymore. Never was that good to begin with. Always wanted to learn piano but I've never owned one.

I'm a drummer. Always wanted an acrylic set. Last year I bought the DW acrylic sea glass snare because I fell in love with the finish.

So now I just saw Guitar Center announced they're going to be an exclusive retailer of the Sea Glass full kit.

It's really taking a lot not to pre-order it. I don't have a drum set out here and have been wanting one, so that also doesn't help.

I actually picked up bass in college. I saw my roommate messing around with Rocksmith and I thought it looked fun so I bought a bass and started messing around. I have a lot of fun playing that game. I need to take the time to sit down and learn the scales/notes.

I played concert band through highschool so I know all the major scales in treble clef. But the minor scales and switching everything to bass clef is a challenge. My ear is developed enough and I've played enough songs I know what sounds right and what doesn't, but I'd still like to formally educate myself a bit better. I also have tiny ass hands. So going fret 1-4 I need to use my pinky instead of my ring finger like most people. So that makes it difficult too.

Thought about getting a cheap guitar and doing that too since rocksmith has lead rhythm AND bass.

I picked it up in high school. Knew a guy who played guitar and one day we just went and got me a bass so we could jam in his basement in between playing Halo lol.
Just knew enough to mess around a bit and learn some songs.
If you have small hands, I'd look at a short scale.

yeah I might go that route. I think it would help me a lot. But I didn't know if it was "cheating" or a bandaid rather than fixing an actual issue.

I mean, if you have small hands, why make it harder on yourself? Not like you can make your hands bigger lol.
Short scale have a slightly different tone which some people prefer. It's also the route a lot of people take when going from guitar -> bass because short scale feels more similar to a guitar.
