Ha. Not ready for that yet. It’s more about her getting experience though. She really likes her job and it’ll be a great resume builder.

    Geezus Christ.

I’ve had my Tacoma for 13 years. 3 cars before that in about a 6 year span. Not counting 2 motorcycles.

I miss the speed. I had a 2007 GSXR600. I would go on the back roads and see what happened. 143 mph on a curvy road will get the blood flowing.

The fiancé got me a driving experience for my birthday. It’s November 15. Driving a Nissan GTR, which has been one of my dream cars for a while. Only downside is it’s fully automatic because they have to make it friendly for everyone, and no one knows how to drive stick anymore

Little late, but took a drive down to the coast for a while, the came back and went for a 4 mile run and 11 mile bike ride.

On the cars thing, I have been through several stages myself. Went through 10-12 cars before I hit my mid-20s, then started slowing down. Tacoma has been here for 11+ years, previous Dakota was 8+ years, and current motorcycle is 14+ years. Slow down also happened to occur when I stopped financing cars and started paying outright for them, was a mental change when I realized the $$$ and PITA of constant trading and following the payment. Although now, between the wife and kids, I still get involved enough in buying/selling that any itch I have gets taken care of quickly.

Funny how when the full amount leaves your checking account every time you buy a car you suddenly realize how much the damn things cost lol

I did take a hit on the Taco I wanted to get rid of it so bad. Wasn't earth shattering but I'm keeping this Forester for a long time to prevent that again. I prefer not to get rid of a car until it's at the bottom of its value.

I just hate wasting my life and brain cells talking to car salesmen. That's truly the worst part.

The guy I had to deal with to buy my truck tried telling me that I shouldn’t want to buy a car from Arizona because “it’s sitting in the sun and all the salt in the air is bad” I’m like uhhhh the salt in Arizona? Do you know where Arizona is? Do you know the climate of Arizona at all?

I'll guess you were driving almost all newer vehicles..or just not driving much. I owned 4 vehicles my first year of driving..

Why would you say they were all new or I wasn’t driving much?

I typically put 24,000-36,000 miles a year on my vehicles.

Merely a guess that it was one or the other, and I said newer..not brand new per se. Versus owning something, say 11-12 years old when you first acquired it.

Example..me. I owned 4 cars in a year but they were all shitboxes so I drove them for a few months and tried to sell for more than I had into them..10-12 year old bombers. One was a 10 year old Grand Prix which I sold due to being unemployed, though.

Example 2, my mother..she keeps cars a long time anyway, but now she puts less than 5K a year on them.
