my family thinks I’m insane. Every time I have to do plumbing work I put in ball valves first if it makes sense. I have a few in the crawl space, I get the ones with the drain port too. Just in case I need to shut off whatever is down stream. I think the only time I didn’t do one was when I last did my toilet braided line (long story) but that was also because it was sort of an emergency fix.

I also found out East providence lets you have a sewage exemption meter so you only pay for water not sewage, for irrigation (or pools I guess I dunno). Would have been nice to know a while ago but I am doing clover instead of irrigation so, off to the races! Half the front lawn is looking good now. The front half will be done after the plow is done dumping salt all over my lawn, and the side probably around the same time but less focused on that, that’s where my trash bins and firewood stacks are.

I’m considering putting 24 pieces of 12 foot decking in my truck with four feet sticking out Of bed . Is that too far? I’m going to staple a safety vest to the butt ends reflecting side up in hopes to not get into trouble . Thoughts?

You’ll be fine, 8’ in, 4’ out will be fine, just strap it down well and you’ll be just fine.

We have some big slugs of aluminum round stock that was extra incase of a scrapped part. They're sitting in the corner now... How big of a base diameter are you looking for?

You'll be fine provided you take it easy. The next time you do that though strap down the front as well. If you don't have any straps, put a bunch of weight to help hold down the front.

And for the back, I like to wrap the stack of lumber, keeps it all together and from shifting around.

Glad you made it home in one piece!

Looks a little sketch, but I'm sure it kept people from tailgating you.

@tacobell007 24” should be good and leave room for a little bit bigger pot if I ever switched in the future.

Jeez lol we dont have any round stock that big, but we could do flat stock aluminum if you had someone that wants to weld it up

Good morning all! Welp, the Sierra took a shit on Saturday, guess it didn't like going to all these Ford and Ram dealerships... getting towed to the shop today. Something with the transmission, started acting weird, shuddering and wouldn't go into 3rd gear, now it's locked in 1st gear and CEL is on. Same exact thing that happened to my buddys Sierra at about the same mileage. Sure wish I traded this truck before this.

So... the big question, did you have it towed to the Ram or the Ford dealership?

I'm going to guess around 130-150k, that seems to be when GM's like to shit out.
