This Monday is a possibility, or I think next Sunday the 18th could work. This Sunday I believe is a go pick up at Boyscouts, so that makes scheduling rough.

Nahh I doubt it. Its just the oil / wax from sheeps wool after all haha

But you guys can also buy a big ass plastic drop cloth from Lowes. Do all the trucks on that then toss it after.

If this Fluid Film meet happens toward the end of this month (24-25 or 31-1) I would be very interested in joining

I'm looking into the 5 gallon buckets of the stuff, but seems you dont save anything buying it in a bulk container.... $32 for a gallon of $160 for a 5 gallon bucket... I would assume a gallon should cover one vehicle frame/underbody.....

A gallon is more than enough for a Taco. Could probably almost get two trucks

Any Sunday, or Monday/Tuesday you guys want to get together, maybe some beers, and burgers... I'm game... Compressor is just an older craftsman 30 gallon, but should get the job done, have a new 50' hose, and high flow fittings on it. if she dies she dies, planning to get a newer 50 gallon at some point for the new garage. a simple drop cloth is a good idea to keep overspray.... maybe a painters suit or two... I can snag a bio suit or two from work.... I have plenty of respirators/masks at home.

So who's drawing the short straw and spending the day under everybody's truck with a bio suit?

I'll definitly do my vehicles because there are certain areas I want to be sure of coverage (cab corners/rockers, and cab mounts in particular) spraying the interior of the boxed frame sections would be nice, does anyone have the nozzle/extension attachment?

I have a whole kit from fluid film. somewhere I posted a picture once, but Ill check later on what I have.

I would take one of those bio suits and climb under. I am thinking its also a learning thing.

If someone brings a compressor, my place works. I can not make any plans for the weekend of the 31st/1st, its my wedding anniversary.
Open on this monday, what ever the holiday is called now, or next weekend.

so I'm thinking I can host an event like this on OCT 18th or NOV 1st, throw down a drop cloth, I have wood to make some ramps, can simply drive on, get sprayed, and drive off.. if SpareParts can bring his gun, my compressor can stay in the basement... just bring your own FF or $$ for coverage, I know my local Walmart, and NAPA carry a few gallons as well as the sprayer gun.. I live in Thomaston, ME right off of Rt1.. anyone have a problem with this, timeframes? or live more central to everyone else?

on a separate note.... anyone interested in setting up a winter trip say a Saturday-Sunday-Monday trip? I have no real destination in mind, just to get out of the house....

Once deer season starts I'm booked on the weekends, so November 1st (or October 31st) or later is out for me.

However, I also could host if it were held on the 18th. I'm only a couple of miles off of exit 86 (Sabattus), so it's easy access from the North or South, so I may be more centrally located (depending on who wants to attend). I've got a 30 gallon vert compressor, air hoses, and a large open space for parking/product application. Plus a fire pit and plenty of wood in case it's a cold day

Before calling all over southern maine, anyone have advice on cheapest new tire and wheel install? Also, I will need new TPMS sensors, is it better(cheaper) to buy them online before hand or get them through a tire shop?

I ordered through discount tire, and found a local shop to install

I ordered through discount tire as well, just looking to see varying install prices from different shops and if people have already shopped around and got cheaper quotes from specific shops for the install.

I did the same. I would source the TPMS yourself and provide them at the time of mounting and balancing. But you will need to do some research on how to get your truck's system to recognize the new sensors. Not all local garages have the capability to program the sensors to work with your truck. You may need to get everything installed then take it to a Toyota dealership or a capable garage.

Edit: I run two sets of tires, winter and summer so my sensors are in a pressurized PVC pipe and sitting in the storage area behind my rear seats.
