So question asking for ideas and suggestions...

I have Dakar HD springs, u-Bolt flip kit and Timbren bump stops. Unloaded there is 1 7/8” clearance

But when I put on my two bikes, the bumps are touching the frame perch above due to the weight squatting the truck

So, thoughts to carry the weight better?
    1) add another leaf to the Dakars
    2) replace Timbren bumps with AirBags
    3) some other idea from y’all...

What do you need done? What suspension parts?

Many members in our area have done our own installs and/or helped others learn (myself included here).

Being that you're a mostly road truck, I'd bag it. I see the rear plate bumper, and the weight of the bikes cantilevered out, exaggerates it even more.
I think @mwc273 would have the most insight on carrying heavy weight in the bed. I've seen a serious load packed into his bed and topper!

yeah, I’m thinking bags are my answer also.

I did inquire to Timbren if they have a rubber spring to replace the bumps and am waiting on a response.

Was just there today at Sunfire Offroad, they were adjusting my coilover a bit after the first weekend of driving on my new lift.

They’re the best looking stock wheels I’ve seen. Hopefully switching them up soon though.
Not sure if you’re saying you have 5spd MT and 2.7 engine or asking if I do? I’ve got the automatic and 4.0 v6.

I was asking about your drivetrain setup

Any plans to use that suspension off road?

Just an AAL or a leaf pack. I'll be upgrading the full suspension when I know the final vehicle weight(still deciding on front bumper/ other gear)

In the mean time, running a RTT/Rack+gear I'm basically riding on bump stops, bottoming out alot on and off road.

I need to throw something on to deal with the weight in the meantime.

Currently I’m renting an apartment behind the B&G until our house is built in Milan. Until then I’ll have a garage to work in after I wire it and get the lift. C57CE5A7-203C-4E17-8758-5ED451123903.jpg
