This is why I love my 8' bed and having a tool box on the front. I just wedge the decking under the box with the gate closed. Gravity does the work for me!

Or 17k for my other buddy when his Sierra threw a rod.

"Like a Rock" is a good slogan. Yep, mine is as functional as a rock.

    Morning, peckerwoods.
This 'One Day Weekend' crap is for the birds

An orange flag would have been plenty, from a legal standpoint.

But, better too much than not enough, I suppose. :notsure:

Sounds like a bad shift solenoid, to me. That'll kick your truck into 'limp-home' mode; limited to 2nd or 3rd for x number of miles, then 1st only.
You've got 91k on that already?

I don't know, it made a real bad squealing noise when I tried to give it more gas when it missed 3rd gear. And the "X" amount of miles was less than 1 before it went into limp mode. Yes, 91k and some change. I drive a lot.

Well the squealing noise is different...
I guess you'll find out when you get the bill :notsure:

If I remember correctly you are in the Hancock area right? My family owns a custom steel fabrication company in Stephentown (Zwack Inc). I know they are a little busy with work, but they generally do their best to help with these one off jobs.
Phone number is 518-733-5135. You’re going to ask for Joey (my cousin) or Frankie (my uncle/owner). Best to have the dimensions you are looking at, and what your goal is moving this around. They can do regular steel or stainless and also paint work

Yes I am in Hancock. I have seen that place a bunch and always wondered what they did there!

Great, I will give them a call today or tomorrow, will make sure I know what I want before calling. Very excited.

Damn, I thought you were higher mileage than that. Sounds like what happened to one of my dad's co-workers. End result was a puked transmission. What's the powertrain warranty like for GM?

His sig thing says it's a 2017, so hopefully it's still on the 3yr powertrain (does GM do that?) Though with 91k miles i'm sure it's out of powertrain warranty.

It's 3/60k whichever comes first so I'm on my own.

I'm already in the hole $500 today and it hasn't even been looked at yet. $200 tow and $300 for a rental.

Sounds good! Can’t make any promises that they will do it, but generally they do the one off projects for local folks.
With COVID they aren’t taking walk in orders, so everything is call ahead now
