Just try it. Worse case, you can flash back to 19770. That’s the tune I ran before. And I can say, you will like the one we just posted today.

I took your premium version on a 500 mile trip that included a lot of highway, a lot of off road, and a lot of high elevation (up to 12,200 ft) this weekend. Fricken solid. It ran like a champ, and I was happy with the gas mileage too. Hard to judge gas mileage though considering all off the off road and high elevation.

It shifted well, and there's plenty of power. I'm looking forward to eventually getting the tune fully set up with ECT, S-mode, and maybe even gearlock. I know that there are tons of improvements on the horizon as people keep learning, but if tuning our tacos ended with a fully realized version of this tune, I would be happy.

That being said, I'm switching to the "regular" version. Gas ain't cheap in Colorado.

Glad to hear it! I’m just waiting for the webinar before I start changing anything else! Not much else I could change at the moment.

Switched over my AGM setting to this version and went for a short test drive. Runs like a beast! I have a route I run after reseting learning values to try to get the tune to settle down. Part of the drive I get on the highway and floor it to get some higher gear pulls in. Traction control kicked in bc it started spinning the back tires on the highway! Granted, it was slightly wet and I do have 30k on my KO2s... But it pulls great. Still have to put some miles on this tune, but I'm liking it so far...

Ahhh Yeeaaahhhh! Glad to hear it. Thanks for feedback.
Just to be crystal clear, the tune is @Mooseditty17 's, I'm just the guinea pig, test rat, and Vftuner data change guy. But I am learning a lot.

    @Mooseditty17 @PapaRee @TWTaco

I flashed the 87 octane version of the file. Have to say, definitely feel this custom tune!! GOOD JOB EVERYBODY. Now I have 2 things I want to put out there for some thought.

    1. When In D, It shifts up and down nicely. My understanding was gear lock was supposed to be in S+ECT. When I put the truck into D+ECT the truck would quickly upshift but it would not downshift, press pedal too floor to try to shift but nothing happens. Is this normal? I have attached 2 log files "DRIVE HWY shifting through gears" & "Drive, in ECT no shifting" Would somebody be able to check these out and see if there is any portion of concern or adjustment required.

    2. Before flashing this new tune, I was running the latest OVtune version and liked it, but when doing a good hill, and upshifting causing higher RPMS, to me, it seemed as the truck was experiencing some pinging... This time I don't think I was experiencing any. I have attached a log file "Hard Pull up hill (possible pinging before new update)" which I selected all options for logging. Would somebody be able to check it out and see if there is any portion of concern or adjustment required.

Otherwise the first test gets a . Cant wait to do some custom touches and look forward to future tunes

Yes this is Normal. When you press the ECT button (on a GearLock tune) it's only going to shift at one speed and one speed only. There's no gradual inclination of when it's going to shift. It's made so that when you shift it with S Mode it will go into that gear without question as long as you're going the minimum speed required. With Gear Lock tunes, currently, ECT is useless unless you are using S Mode.
That’s why I don’t use gearlock tunes. ECT is useless except for GearLock (ECT+S mode)
If you flash the other file without GearLock, ECT works well.

Understood. Once the +PWR version with AGM and 4.88 for 33" tires gets made (don't see it yet) I will swap to it. For now I will keep GL.

@OVTune or anyone who might know. When comparing tunes using the compare feature, the maps that are different are in bold, correct? On some when I clicked on them, the values on both maps were the same. Anyone else know why they were in bold then?

yes it is showing that on some 1D tables. I believe it is due to decimal scaling (as our software scales to the 0.000000000x)

    Interesting.

When pasting into Excel, it only seems to bring over the fourth decimal place.

Yes because in the code I put limits on decimal points but it's expanded out in the background logic.

Not that it matters anyway the ECU rounds decimals.

Interesting. I only noticed it because one time, I set the display value to one decimal place for doing a visual value comparison and noticed that when pasting back to vF, it only brought along the shown decimals.

Yeah, and significant figures comes into to play. Only so much precision is really needed.
